Cheers guys, yeah the plans is to get a few more going. I'll start planning out the layout of each one, and do them all at the same time so it speeds up the process. Next on the agenda is to get a piece of MDF and create the board.

Cheers guys, hopefully I'll get them done this month. On another note, i stumbled across some perfect rock formations. I found some old white powder concrete which had gotten slight damp and clumped together. After breaking a piece off I noticed it gave a natural rock texture and shape. Therefore I saved most of the concrete and have broken them into manageable sized rocks. Tell me what you guys think, as I was happily surprised. I did a quick paint job on one with a few tufts to give you the idea.

The last time I touched a mini was at least a month back when I started priming a whole bunch of archers. I took the chance to get a start on painting them since it has been such a beautiful day today (which is rare up here!). I want to get my troops decently painted, but avoid adding too much detail as they are only standard foot troops that will make the bulk of the army. Do you think the highlights on the robes are a little too bold? I might tone them down. C&C's Welcome.

Drum - the highlights on the robes look great as they are - very crisp which I guess would be pretty befitting of an archer who fights from distance not in the blood and guts frontline as your typical swordsman might. By the way the top picture second archer from the left - the facial expression is quality mate .. i Love it!!!!

The archers look good, I also really like the blue cloth, it goes nicely with their armor. Your terrain is also really cool 8)

Thanks for the replies guys! I'm still a little rusty on the old painting.

Cheers DMS. I'd forgotten to add some dirt on them, so I'll do that later. Ha yeah whoops, he looks like he's had the fright of his life. "Oh s**t, Nazgul!" I'll sort those eyes later too, lol.

ehe yeah I'm still tempted as I have 8 high elves with shields, however if I remember correctly there might be 2 or 3 shields missing. Will need to make a mould of one to cast a few extra.

Quite simple. Just put down your PVA and add sand. Start off by painting it a dark brown followed by a lighter dryrbush coat. Didn't add rocks on the bases I've done so far but I will do. Then it's just foliage.
