I'll start this thread with an explanation shall I :) ? I will be showing you my Beastlord and show more beastmen I have done when I finish them but I will also show you my... hellblade :D , the Hellblade is a WIP.

Here goes the Beastlord:

It has finnally came after 1 month of waiting! I will guide you through from the start of getting my hellblade right through when i'm painting it and to when I finish it. I love it, but let's see what you think of it so far :).

I have not done the canopy for the cockpit yet because I am going to focus on painting inside it and the pilot first. So far I have built it all up (excluding the canopy and pilot).

Here are the pictures:

Image

The bottom of the Hellblade.

Image

One of the Chaos Icons. It comes with two of these but they are one hell of a pain to get out. They come on a sheet of plastic which you need to cut out to get the icon. Even between the gaps of the icon are filled with plastic :o. Took me nearly an hour just to sort out the Icons!

Image

The hellblade from the front. Here you can see both of the twin-linked autocanons.

Image

The detailed cockpit and pilots legs.

Image

The very nicely sculpted pilot!

Image

The entire hellblade! The thing with forgeworld sculpts is that they are made with the finest resin which makes them alot more detailed. I think the Hellblade is a great model and should be extremely fun to paint! More updates to come!

Thanks,

Jake

If you chopped off the bak spines and added some fins on the sides, that Hellblade would make the perfect Jedi Starfighter from Episode 3...

Cool minis Red! Keep up the great work (and I see you've used a brown nase rim for your Beastlord...going to do that for the Dunlendings?)

UDATE.

Just thought I'd show you my Deamon Prince with Wings. I used the LOTR dragon wings and sculpted them on. I decided to go with a different approach to the way most people do it. Most people just replace the air vents with the wings so I decided to be a little different and include both 8) . Here it is:

Closer look at my poor sculpting

And Here's a picture I drew a bit before christmas of a Fire Dragon and Chaos Raptor going to battle against each other :P .

Thanks,

I like Forgeworld minis (though some are HUGE). The Beastlord is well painted. Your sculpting is not bad - better than mine anyway!

I keep on saying the same thing: your basing needs a little work. I like the pose of the lord, although I do miss his Khornate bunny ears (and the axe) Are you going to use the demonic weapon?

Not using a demon weapon on my term lord but will for the khorne lord. Sorry but I hate the bunny ears. If you meant the base on the Beastlord then yeah maybe it could have been done a little better but I am happy with it how it is to be honest.

Thanks

I'm not trying to give arrogant cheesy comments, if you feel offended by my critisism. Just trying to give you some advice (You asked for C&C! ;>)

But hey, I'm Dutch, we don't hand out compliments that easily (nor take them, haha)
