Hi new here

have a few questions about the catapult

can it fire severed heads via volley?
can the troll operate the catapult by himself, if the orcs die or is he then free to leave the catapult and join the fight?

Welcome EnemiesForever.

The first question is fairly straightforward, I can’t see anything in the siege engine rules to stop you using Severed Heads with Volley Fire, so yes you can.

The second question doesn’t seem quite as easy. As far as I read it, the troll doesn’t count towards the 2 crew to fire the catapult so you’d need 2 other crew members (these could be untrained crew, see page 116 of the rules manual). As the troll is described as crew I think it can only leave the siege engine if it is destroyed, even if the rest of the crew are killed.

What I’m also not sure about is if the Troll Crew can count as trained crew but lose the benefits of having a troll.

Hi, new here too, and I want to add another question if it's posible using the subject:

For severed head? Do I need to roll for scatter, if the rulebook only mention about "the initial target..." (pg119) and doesn't mention about this?

Thank you so much!
