Ao the last few challenges did not gain entries, so this one will be generic. As the new war-bands book is coming out, paint your best generic war-band leader. The poll will go up July 4th for this one. You only need the leader, no followers please. The leader should be identifiable as a leader, be it the pose, a cape, a little gold armour, or medal. Captain models may also be used.

Actually, I do have an entry for the new mini, new stat line contest. I made mounted Numenoreans. Alas, I have no way to photograph them. When I get them photographed, I will be sure to share!

I'm up for a new painting challenge. Just got back from visiting Hobbiton in New Zealand so feeling inspired. Feel like painting Hobbits after that so can I suggest the Scouring of the Shire as a theme?

I am very jealous, I have to say! After a little thinking I may propose to have it as an ongoing 'Hobby Bingo' as seen on the Warhammer Community page. That way it will be open in terms of subject and time frame, in order to encourage participation, I will draft something up at the weekend if anyone has thoughts let me know. 8)

On a Polish hobby site, Mitril, they have a really cool "Monthly painting gallery". First, you propose what models you will paint at the beginning of the month and post their photos "naked". Then, once you paint them, you post finished photos. You get points for each model you paint (bigger model, bigger points). Everything is summarised in a single post by the admin (whoever runs the competition) once a month.

We could extend it to terrain making also, as a separate category :)

I like it! I will get a thread together this week, I am happy to run it and update it with the summaries.

Great idea. I'm absolutely in! Let's aim for a February start?

Hobby bingo also looks fun. Maybe we could keep track of progress on that thread and it could result in bonus points or something.

I just noticed that there was a painter's league on this site, but sadly seems to have died :(
