Hello!

Just getting in to MESBG and decided I would try and update my progress on my army here. Maybe this will motivate me to keep going and complete the project!

I decided to start my MESBG journey with a Hobbit army! I've always said if I ever played SBG, a Hobbit army would have to be my first!

I just recieved my haul of Hobbits in the mail yesterday and this is what I got...

24 Archers
36 Militia
12 Sherriffs
Merry, Pippen, Sam, Frodo on ponies and on foot
Farmer Maggot, Lobellia, Fredegar, Paladin
6 Dunedain
Gandalf on cart, foot, and horse

I have lots of mold lines to file off all these metal models! Hopefully I can get them all standing by the end of the weekend.

While I was waiting for the Hobbits to arrive I started painting up my Three Hunters and finished off Aragorn last night(though the pic included was taken before I finished),and started working on Legolas(not pictured).

Nice paint job! Out of curiosity, do you think hobbits should get a special deployment rule for when you run out of heroes?

I'm still new to the game, and have not actually played a game yet. Do you mean being able to have more models in your Warbands per Hero? Or being able to take models like Militia and whatnot without a Hero?

I have had lots of progress the last couple of weeks but have not updated this post.

So far to date since I started this thread I have painted Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli, 27 Hobbit Militia, and 2 Dunedain. I'm just shy of half done with my 800pt army for Adeptcion. I'm happy with the paint jobs in general, not the best I've done good enough. All of the Militia are different in some way. I really tried to vary up the colors on them to make the all individual.

Time to move on to the Hobbit Sheriffs.

I have not updated this thread much but that’s because I’ve been busy painting!

Another big update!

Completed some extras for my Hobbit Force Incase I wanted to take it a different direction. Finished my Nazgûl of Dol Goldur Force. Finished some Hobbit objective markers. Painted Halbarad to try out a Grey Company Force. Finally tracked down a mounted Aragorn and started working on him.
