Can't take credit for this idea, I'm sure I saw it somewhere...

Take the Rohan figure with the sword pointing down along his side, - remove existing sword and arm, replace with arm/sword, head and shield swap - Numenor captain.

The captain looks good. I think it was one featured in white dwarf a long time ago where they did some fiefdoms conversions?

Well I've finished the first lot of converted Numenoreans. I rushed these a bit, but I'm happy with the new poses.

The plan for this year is to do small jobs to avoid getting bored. Going to do some Gundabad Orcs now, for a change of pace.

Onto some Gundabad Orcs. Really like these poses; not sure if it's the lack of a slot between the feet or what but they seem really dynamic. Pity about the wonky swords though :/

Image

While assembling one of the spearmen I quickly pressed him into a mold to create a dead orc as well. Hope it ends up alright.

Finished the Gundabad Berserkers just in time to start the Iron Hills Dwarves who just arrived on my doorstep.

Image

I'm a little apprehensive about the Iron Hills. Gimli is the only dwarf I've ever painted before - don't want to mess them up!

Making steady progress with these guys, but I don't know if I'm 100% happy with the gold. Too much?

The shields will obviously cover a lot of it so right now I'm thinking of sticking with it to see how they look.

Finally finished. They took a bit longer than I'd like for rank and file troops, but I'm pleased with the result.

They look great! Its a shame in some respects that the shields hide so much of the model, after the nice job you've done on the metal-work! :)

I think the gold looks great. Especially like the guy on the far right with his arm extended up. That really shines. 8) the deep red on the shields is also very nice.

Thanks guys, really appreciate the encouragement! :)

Just did something a bit different, painted up the Dark Marshal to use as a Black Numenorean Captain.

And here's the small band I've finished so far.

Nice work so far on the band, it's always hard to get such a dark scheme to work (which you have).
