Hi,
if you have to choose to play two Ringwraits, what would you choose? On foot or mounted?

I'm just curious what other people think in general. I think a combination of The Undying and Knight of Umbar could work well together. The Knight of Umbar (on a horse or a fellbeast) killing troops/heroes and The Undying for the magical support.

Discuss :-D

It depends on game size, the rest of your army, if you know your opponents' armies as well.

In big games, without knowing who I'll be facing, I like to go Undying on horse and Khamul on Fell Beast. For smaller game sizes, I often double up on Budget Wraiths (typically 1-7-1 or so).

All the Ringwraiths have uses really. If you're facing a couple of scary heroes, maybe the Dwimmerlaik and the Witch King are worth considering. It's hard to pinpoint exactly what two are the way to go without having more context.

Yeah its a very open question. Without a doubt one of the best combos ive used is the undying and witch king when he is maxed out at 3/20/3.

Of course even mounted on a horse instead of beast this is a YUGE amount of points in a game. For that combo its almost 350 points but if youre playing at 800+ its very doable because most people I encounter will have two or more large heroes worth using magic on constantly. Its shocking how much my group playings big Boromir, Treebeard, GilGalad, etc.....so much.

Any wraith with the undying is good basically when it comes down to it.

Id probably take those two though for pure magic.

For combat it would obviously be different but I use two wraiths for magic mostly and put one on a fell beast for combat purposes.
