Anyone has any comments on Dain's left arm armour? It is common sense that a single piece metal plate can't bend at a joint, so there seems to be some cheating going on here in the physical sense with the foot and mounted sculpts unless I'm wrong. They are beautiful sculpts, but considering it's Forge World and Forge World prices, every detail counts for it to be worth its dollar. I just find the left arm strange on both foot and mount or am I just noticing things that aren't there?

Will be getting the package none the less, loved that character from the books, and have been dying to get a proper film version of him.

If you find any fault in the design, I think you have WETA and not Forge World to blame - the sculpted vambrace has the same bend at the elbow in the movie design or indeed the WETA sculpture: http://www-images.theonering.org/torwp/ ... G_4917.jpg

Depending on the exact fit, it can mean either of two things: A) the arm simply cannot bend beyond a certain angle, or B) the vambrace extends far enough beyond the elbow or slopes outwards at an angle to the under arm to allow a fairly straight arm. Looking at the right arm here, B) seems to be the case: http://www.collectionstash.com/files/55 ... 331820.jpg

Interesting.
Careful with this thread please. If it ends up as s generalised GW / FW bashing thread I'll lock it.

Thanks

Just go to Forge World's site and check out the pics for yourself and for people who are not familiar with the functionality of plate armour will notice that the left arm armour looks quite odd, but as pointed out by another poster this was Weta's decision.
