Group 1 and Group 6 have been played. I haven't been able to write reports, but I have updated all the tables in the posts above.

Our next meeting will take place on Tuesday August 30th. We will play Group 2. Place your bets

We played Group 2 last Tuesday. Galadhrim Gaolers took the group by storm, outshooting the Citadel Guards was probably defining to achieve group victory.

Angmar Avalanche started out strong, totally dominating the Morannon Murderers, but they didn't stand a chance against the courage 5 Elves and the "bodyguarding" Citadel Guards.

Morannon Orcs turned out to be very disappointing, they just couldn't get it done.

2. Citadel Guard Grinders (2-1)
3. Angmar Avalanche (1-2)
4. Morannon Murderers (0-2)*

* The last game wasn't played, because the Galadhrim were certain group winners and the Morannons couldn't escape fourth place.

This pits the Citadel Grinders against Durin's Destroyers. We believe the Citadel Guards to be favourites, bringing five longbows, equal Fight Value, higher numbers and a mounted hero.

The Galadhrim are eagerly anticipating who takes second place in Group 7. Group 7 is looked upon as the weakest group, so all Galadhrim fans are already looking beyond the 8th finals.

Elimination table has been updated.

Monday September 19th is our next meeting. We will play Group 3, heavy tournament favourites Hunter Orcs Inc. will see some action!

So ... Group 3 has been played. And what an evening we had!

Dol Amroth Athletics lived up to the expectations. They put up a fight, but in the end couldn't threaten the other warbands. A 0-3 result saw them eliminated, wondering what they could have achieved in an easier group.

The Hunter Orcs are also eliminated! Their weak Orc Bows couldn't win any shooting wars (which they didn't want to engage in anyway) and they were absolutely massacred by Woses' Blowpipes and Umbar's Throwing Weapons.

... unbelievable! I think each and everyone of us had Hunter Orcs in their semi-finals predictions ...

So Woses and Umbar advance. Umbar's Arbalesters and Bowmen made sure the Woses couldn't get any early kills in. Throwing Weapons again were very strong. The Corsair Captain having Fight 5 was also very big.


What a crazy group to play!

Next meeting on Monday October 18th (I still have to play all my Dunlendings) when we tackle Group 7.
