Im making an Arnor army, and I severely doubt the killing power of it. Thus, I will play it with a warband of high elves.

I looked through and thought of Elrond, Gil Galad and the Twins.

My choice now, in one list, is to choose.

Gil Galad alone with Shield and armored horse is only 10 points less than armored, and mounted twins.

Yes, his stand fast is awesome, and he has amazing fight and attacks, but he is one man.

As for the twin, I think their problem is the special rule if one of them dies but theyre good for killing troops. No doubt. They have a combination 6 might and still out fight or tie 85% of things in the game. I think I prefer them.

Twins win on theme alone.

Makes sense. Although I did mention the point of the topic for killing power basically.

I heard at one point Gil Galad was there which forced the Witch King to flee Arnor....or am I wrong....

Elrond and Glorfindel helped free arnor, Gil was long dead by that time

My vote is Gil Galad, he wounds most things on 4s, and most every hero has to give up might to try and not Auto lose on a 6, which I think in of itself is very powerful,

He's very defensible with his d8, and with a horse can just cause havoc down the lines with a heroic combat, he also has that great stand fast for your likely small army, causes terror as extra defensive measure

Though I love the twins aswell, and they are thematically more in tune with arnor

I do feel elves fit a lot more with this sort of army. In theme and play style. Dwarves are a long shot for tacking them on plus elves high fight help win better than dwarves that can't muster anything higher than arnor for normal troops.

For battles that you find an extremely strong (solo) enemy hero is the only occasion that Gil Galand would be more helpful.

The Witch King fled from Glorfindel, who then made the prophecy about no man's hand being able to kill him

Yeah in terms of theme it should be a contest between Glorfindel, rather than Gil Galad, and the twins. But in any case I would go with the twins because you wanted killing power and there are two of them with 6 might between them and they have that many blades type rule too.

On a side not you could also consider Gildor and his exiles for fast moving, high fight, spear support. You get transfix from Gildor as well so he could help your Arnor heroes against stronger opponents. Not really what you were asking but its something to consider.

Gil Galad is a beast his one fate can be an issue aslong as you run him with support you shouldn't have an issue . The twins would be more for theme.

Gil-Galad is much better. Although he only has 3 might compared to the twins' six, none of his might have to be used to heroic strike and if you take him on an armoured horse (which you should) you can heroic combat through three models reliably, causing complete havoc, especially if you get him into D4 troops such as spearmen or archers. He doesn't really have a weakness apart from the fact that he's such a high value target that the enemy will really want to take him out. As such, being D8, anything S3 or lower is going to have a field day trying to wound him. But look out for those Crossbows! S4 only needs sixes, and they'll only need three or four wounds to kill him.

The worst things about the twins are the puny D6 and that their two eleven blades rule, or whatever it's called, doesn't work on horseback. As such, I believe that The twins are worse than Gil-Galad, but I'm not so sure whether they're better than Glorfindel, whose most attractive factor is the Resistant to Magic special rule.

I like the twins, i like gilly, it is a win all around. Gilly is probably better though. His stats are top notch.

I'd go with Gil-Galad. The twins combined have more might but if one dies the other will spend it in tactically useless heroic moves. Gil-Galad wounds on 5+ tops, causes terror and will not spend any might in heroic strike. If you want to kill toughter target, is a better pick. The twins are better when it comes to kill troops.

Really, it depends on how you built the rest of your army. If there's already a good fighting hero (even if not as strong as Gil-Galad, of course) the twins are a better option.
