Very nice work indeed! Your NMM work is very neat and the colour choices work very well.

If you're looking to do more, here are a few tips, as someone who has painted a lot of Space Marines over the years. None of this is criticism as that model is frankly better than anything I could do, but if you plan to do more, this may help a little:

- Common practice is to paint the outer casing on the gun a separate colour, typically red or black. While yours looks fine, painting the casing would avoid having a large single-coloured block in the middle of the mini.

- If you want higher contrast with the eyes, try painting them white and then applying a wash of your chosen lens colour. It's a good way to keep it neat, and get a nice lit/glowy effect.

- It's not such a worry on models like this with sculpted shoulder insignia, but in future if you find you want to break up the larger armour plates, freehanding some simple white lines to simulate scripts goes a long way to matching the look you'll see in artwork!

Hope that helps, it's a great mini! SM can be a bit of a learning curve after LotR stuff, but you seem to have taken it in your stride!

The dark picture doesnt do it justice Mally! You can tell there is a lot more work on those reds than what it shows.

Your right, well spotted.
Photography is something I don't spend enough time on and is my Achilles heel. This photo is actually an improvement for me. I will work at this some more with my next photos.

I agree that the photograph doesn't really do the mini justice. The NMM on this looks great.

I've been getting the hankering to paint some power armor again, but it's not a high enough priority to spend hobby dollars on what would just be collector's pieces, since I don't play 40K anymore.

Thanks.
I got given four of these and I'm painting them just to do something different for my blog.
NMM is an area I have been working on and I'm pleased with how it's developing.
The plus side is that my glazing has been improving as well.
