2 votes sounds good. It would separate the winner faster in some cases too. If 4 people voted, it could easily have one person get 4 votes and 4 other people each get 1 vote. allowing 1 model to rise above faster than in a 1 vote system.

Iirc the one rings poll/vote system will not allow a member to vote for the same entry twice.

That is not what I meant.
Voter 1 - votes for DMS and MMS
Voter 2 - votes for DMS and Gene
Voter 3 - votes for DMS and Sithious
Voter 4 - votes for DMS and Coenus

That is what I meant. A clear winner can rise up faster in a 2 vote system. nothing wrong with it, just that it can make the first and second place spots climb faster above the rest.

Wish we had 18 votes each! :D

Great work all!

We voted for Joshuar's Morgul Knights. Well done, they're just so clean and beautiful!
We also really like Frodo and Sam. Awsome fire effects Gene! Will you put lava on their bases?
Ste271276's Shelob... Really like your base and the dead orc. Great Spider!

We like the two votes idea. We won't have to argue anymore between our favourite entries! LOL
The problems of sharing membership with your brother! :shout:

I had to vote for Gene. Bill's orcs and Uruks look great and Joshua's morgul Knights are in the top tier as well IMO but Gene's work literally made me stop and examine the pieces! They're stunning!

I do have to give a shout to Halauas' his models are definitely the "coolest". You should be entering the sculpting and converting challenges all the time, your work would always place well

Four difficult choices this month. What stood out for me were Karavatis, Eric, joshuar_au and Gene Parmesan.
While I don't personally really like the paint job of the Karavatis's Uruks, and they don't look at all to me like Uruk Hai, I can't deny that there is technical skill there.
I really like the paintschemes of both the Black Numenoreans and the Morgul Knights. The Numenoreans really fit the bill of a fallen empire, while the Knights look truly ghostly. Both very clean and inspiring works.
Gene's is one piece that really needed a second glance to realise how good it was. Truly captures the moment, and excellent use of light.
Well done to all entries. Good to see so many people entering.

This was a tough one, and I love evil, so Ill just make a comment on them all:

Sithious-The level of uniqueness and painting is great. The conversion work alone puts yours in my favorites for these.
SouthernDunedain-I like the pose, but Ive never been a fan of green orc skin thats that green. Nice work nonetheless.
PowerofWill-Really nice painting work. Ive just seen this particular morannon in my collection a bit too much though haha.
Steve-Nice painting, basing, and I love the orc head haha.
Bandobras-Nice painting, but the generic wraiths make it hard to do something super cool imo.
Karavatis-Really nice painting and cool miniatures. The blue is too much for something Id ever use, but youve done a great job with it.
Valpas-Nice work. I like the base you did aside from gollum too!
Nico-Nice painting and excellent conversion on warg Chieftan. Looks brilliant.
Eoher-Wooh those are some vivid colors. Id never know where to start if I painted those. Id have no confidence to haha you should see my collection its all darker tones or plain colors. I have like one orange.
Paradigm-The Easterling helmet jumps out, and I like the banner. Im a fan of morannons, always, in game.
Eric-I like the basing/base choice(these always let you do more) and its nice to see someone do something a bit different with B Numenoreans. Good job.
Joshua AU-This color green is the brightest ill go, and mine is more subdued. Nice banner, and excellent paint job.
Halaus-Excellent conversion work, painting, basing, and above all, idea. If the topic was of uniqueness youd be hands down the winner. I really like your out of the box work consistently on your models. I always view your topic with great interest.
Coenus-That orc actually looks dark, and creepy, and has been through the ringer. Awesome work.
Bill Fearny-I like the stuff a lot. The painting is good and the basing is good. But, I think the basing takes a way a little from the model as a whole. I tend to like big bases for only big heroes, or higher point models as an idea of power. Not to say yours isnt good. Its fantastic.
Paliouras-Nice job making a wraith look decent. Its hard to do these guys sometimes without doing the same thing as everyone. Nice basing.
Streetline-Nice conversion. I love the skull and the messed up face of the orc haha.
Gene Parmesan-I already commented on your topic, but what a great unique idea, and fantastic follow through on the paint job.

Overall for me, its come down to Gene's Frodo and Sam, Josh's Morgul Knights, Haulaus' men of the East, and Sithious' orcs.

They are all the best at different things.

Id say overall:
Gene has coolest idea and follow through of something from the movies.
Haulaus idea is by far the most unique and awesome.
Sithious has the coolest coversion of troops that remained the same(i.e. not like the men of the east as new models)

But.....what can I say....this month was the February painting challenge. THAT, I have to give to Joshua. Good work everyone. It was one of the better competitions overall.

I have been scrolling up and down and up and down and up and down.... another very hard decision to make. I am always conscious that I might be picking the mini that was best photographed rather than best painted but then I can only go by what I can see folks.
Well done everyone!
