So for anyone who thinks Legolas's archery is bs, watch that. Its amazing.

I'd give him this profile.

Lars Anderson
2/2+ 3 3 1 1 3 Pts: 55 0/0/0

Wargear: Tennis shoes-Lars Anderson may move 6" but only moves 1/3 through difficult terrain.
Bow
Options:
Composite bow: 5 points-This bow has a strength of 3.

Special Rules: He may shoot his bow 3 times per turn, or auto hit with 1 arrow per turn.

He never needs to add +1 to hit when moving and shooting.

When shooting at targets 12 inches or less away, he may shoot 4 shots per round.

Lars Anderson may spend 1 free point of might per turn involving the shoot phase when rolling to hit, in the ways, or to wound.

Too many? Hmmm...I dunno...he can modify the way the enemy moves, and also will probably get back half his points value before combat most game.

But whatever haha! Its not to be taken seriously.

What points do you suggest?

Fun and certainly impressive, but most of the claims made aren't very accurate (sizeable understatement there) - for more reasons than I've got time to describe. Just like hand to hand combat changed from hoplite formations to modern fencing, so too does archery have quite the variety of styles, depending on the purpose and context. Firing two arrows a second is pretty useless if involved in a major battle and your quiver only holds a few dozen. Not to mention the fact that the draw of the bow can't be heavy to do all those tricks. The supposed 'lost knowledge' likely never existed in Western Europe in the first place, as range and power (to pierce armour) were more important than speed. In contrast, a quick rate of fire was a goal in Saracen training.

Just like some people in some armies in some areas at some point in time trained with two-handed swords, others with sword and dagger, others with a 18' pike, others with javelins and a 1' buckler, others with an axe and 3' shield.. so too does archery vary. Quivers worn on the back are not ahistorical, nor is shooting from the left, etc. They were used and that was done, by certain people in certain areas of the world at certain moments in history. Others would indeed hold arrows in the hand and fire from the right. Probably. Depictions are often inaccurate, but it can be done and there can be reasons to do it. That doesn't mean all people did it all the time everywhere in the world, 'until we lost the knowledge'. That's ridiculous.

The Antikythera mechanism. Now that is some mindblowing lost knowledge.

This. I can guarantee that he would not be able to do half what he did with a ~100 lb draw weight english longbow of old. Piercing chain mail is not that impressive either, punching through 1" plate mail from 100 yards away is.
So yeah, it all depends on what you are looking for.

Modern fencing is not hand to hand combat it is a sport. Shooting aspirin out of the air with S.W. 500 revolver is a trick shot. I would not expect the best sniper in any army to be able to do it unless he learned and practiced the trick. The statement "until we lost the knowledge" is like the statement "Ancient alien theorist believe".It is really far out there. I have not "lost the knowledge" I never needed to learn it. A chariot archer might need to learn something different than a english longbowmen. Tactics change with technology and circumstance.
That was a very cool video 8)

I thought so! Regardless of how serious people take this topic it was meant to be fun and a cool video. Regardless that takes a lot of work.

While a very cool video and he is no doubt very skilled, he needs to try it out with a much bigger bow, with armor, and on horse back before he can be considered a master. Most archers worked in blocks to concentrate fire at an enemy. While these are very cool trick shots, this is not how soldiers would have used their bows. And you definitely would not go full Legolas and kill someone with a bow from 2 feet away.

I saw this and immediately wanted to edit him in Legolas' place throughout BoFA. If only I had the energy...

Regardless of his actual use in a medieval combat situation, this guy is incredible. I'm thinking;
F. S. D. A. W. M. W. F
3/2+ 3. 4. 1. 2. 1 1 *
Bow

Lars may fire unlimited arrows per shoot phase until he misses a shot.
Each time he is shot at, he may take a 2+ Fate roll to shoot the arrow out of the air. If he misses, he may take no more fate rolls that turn, nor may he fire in the Shoot phase.
Liars does not take 1+ to hit while moving.
85 points.
He's a troop killer.
