I actually like the new models.
I do however not like the paintjob on Galadriel. They seem to be botching a lot of paintjobs these days. The latest Tauriel for instance is not done justice by the paintjob. Weird looking face.

Will probably buy both of them, don't own a white council yet :)

@Ripp I'm with you on that buddy. The sculpts are fine but the paint jobs are not great, as with a lot of the Hobbit range.

To be fair to GW and their painters that Tauriel model is a tough face to paint.

Galadriel looks like an unadulterated hippie, Im sure the sculpt is nice enough, anyone else notice she is on a 32mm base?

Really dont like the Radagast - but then i think it needs to be seen in the flesh as their painting is a lot worse than what you see here & on the GBHL facebook group

The White Council sculpts are nice enough but unfortunately I find it difficult to justify the price they're asking for just three figures.

I think that Galadriel is one of my favourite elf miniatures that they've done, actually.

Even though...the prices are actually cheaper than individual named hero blisters. the 3 WC heroes work out at £11.67 each. Bargin.

IMO Galadriel's pose was a poor choice for 25mm - in order for them to have enough strength to support the figure on their own, her legs and feet look grossly oversized, almost hobbit proportion.

It would have been far better to leave her gown touching the ground and blowing against her legs to outline them, a la Nike of Samothrace, while still leaving the billowing volume behind them to provide support. At least that way her legs could appear more delicate.

You can probably guess what I'm going to say. Still waiting for the Giant Bats, Armoured Trolls, Siege Weapon Trolls, Bolg's Guard, Goblin Mercs, Armoured Nazgul.

That said, I would have considered buying Radagast on Eagle as I have a soft spot for both but am disappointed in the sculpt. The other three sculpts all look fantastic to me, especially Saruman, but I'm not interested in buying them.

Hadn't noticed it yet, but that seems to be the way GW in general is moving these days. At least from what I hear in the 40K department

I'd think if I pick up this figure I would green stuff her dress going to the ground. I don't want to look at those "man-legs"

I think all of the sculpts look great. Especially Galadriel and to be honest, don't we have to see a bit more of the sculpt before actually judging on her legs?

And a 32 bigger base? I think page of the white dwarf was bent when the picture was taken, could be the reason why Saruman's base looks smaller.

32mm is the new base size of the jetpack equipped Space Marines, and the White Warg base is the same size as the Space Marine Centurions. I guess wanted her to be able to attack more people at once, what with her 3 attacks. I do wish she had armor, 3D, even with Nenya just isn't good enough to put her attacks to use.
