I could have easily used three votes here, very tough choice.
My final vote went to Harfoot for an excellently thought out figure that tells a story. The painting is amongst the best he has done and he is showing great steps forward.
A congratulations to all who entered.

These are all fantastic entries this time. Edge67, looks like winter has already come, eh?
I'll need to take a few minutes to deliberate...

For myself it had to be Harfoot's piece. Absolutely brilliant.
I do love Coenus' Santa as well. A great conversion

Tribute to how good the painting standard is around here when so many entries have so many votes. Fantastic Challenge.

Come on you newbies around here get voting and get involved in the monthly challenge. Incredibly good way to push your painting.

I was hard pressed between Harfoot and FrogMortonJustice65, but Harfoot won my vote. The base just added so much more to the mini. Wonderfully executed.

I love the Knight's Model Boromir mini! Beautiful sculpt. I have to get myself one of those.

Well done to everyone. Hopefully I can get my act together to participate in the Jan challenge.

It really does help you improve. Having a goal and incentive is massive. Don't be intimidated.

PS thanks to everyone who threw me some votes this month

:D

Don't know if we've had such a number of high quality entries before, and then to (just!) come out on top in this particular challenge is especially amazing.

Took me ages to decide who to vote on myself. At some point, however, it became clear that it was going to be a very close run, and I decided to simply not vote at all: wouldn't be helping myself (would that be a victory?) or close competitors (self-inflicted defeat) and truth be told, I really couldn't decide anyway. Do want to give a thumbs up to CaptainQuark, whose subtly shaded grey was easy to overlook but very well done, and PowerOfWill, who so often manages to make simple models look great but only rarely gets the credit for it.
Good thing I didn't have time for this month's challenge anyway... :P

Congrats Coenus, and to everyone. Great entries all around.

I voted for Gene's Bard - nice blue/green tones, you really brought out the dynamism of the model.

I will echo Coenus' praise for Captain Quark's Gandalf. Really shocked you only got one vote, you did an excellent job on the base and the grey colors are blended so smoothly.

Thanks for the votes everyone, I think is the best I have done in these competitions. They really are a great way to improve your skills.
