So, if youve read on my posts you may know Ive been working on making Talion from Middle-Earth Shadow of Mordor.
It started life as Aragorn
I started looking for picture of Talion and got a few good ones to get a better Idea of what stuff he had on him and whereabouts they are. After this I cut away the Scabbard, and put that to one side, I then cut Aragorn's dagger down. I decided to have the longer broken end facing outwards as Talion uses it like that in one of the combat kills. The bit of the dagger I cut off I kept and put to one side.
I read through alot of green stuff items, being this is the first time I had used it I wasnt sure about how to use it and how it would look or anything but anyway. I made his cape.
After I let this dry, for 24hours, still wasnt 100% happy with how it dried. With some of the spare metal pieces I cut down a small pocket what Talion has on his left hand side and glued it into place. I added his "belt" (I cant think of what else to call it) This was easier than I first thought, after cutting the piece, it pretty much fell into place and I let it stand for 24 hours
I gave the cape a few layers of PVA glue to strength it up. I cut some small metal pieces that hold nails together and added to the dagger. I used super glue and when was dry added a tiny layer of pva over that part of the blade just to fill the cracks. (Looks better)
I also added the fur edge to the cape. I thought this would be alot harder than it ended up being.
Finally when that set I did the same around the neck. I glued the scabbard and the little piece of the dagger together, after sanding one side down. When they had set I used a wee bit of green stuff and made the little bit of cloth that Talion has on his back.
Before I undercoat it Im leaving it alone for a few days so everything can 100% set, I have made the edges of the cape stand out a little bit more by removing where the glue has set right on the edges. But thats it. Just the painting bit next
