This project has been in the making for some time. But, here they are, all finished. The 5 wizards. Gandalf, Saruman, Radagast, Pallando, and Alatar. This goes without saying, but Pallando and Alatar are proxied by Sharky and Malbeth.

first time I have seen malbeth being used for this purpose, btw why has gandalf inherited old arwen's hand?
Do you simply like the sabre/katana look for an elven blade (being that glamdring is of course an elven blade) is it for continuity?

They look good altogether there :)

I really loved the idea to proxy one of the blue wizards with Malbeth!
I must have thought of it at some time in the past, but in the meantime, went down the drain.
Excellent!!!

That is actually haldir's hand. I used it to make a special haldir. The final result is up in the jdizzy001 album of the gallery.

These are fantastic!

Always thought Malbeths pose was very 'Wizardy'

I like the blue wizards a lot. Are you going to use the new Radagast soon or will you stick to the old one?

No, I'm not a fan of the radagast PJ envisioned. For me, radagast is and always shall be what decipher envisioned.

Also, just a side note, I love that malbeth has a receding hairline. It gives him so much character!

I love them. They look so great.

I actually cringe at the line Gandalf uses when he says "I've forgotten their names." I know he sometimes forgets his own, but I think it would have better served the story if he had said, "they are known by different names by different people, and some have altogether forgotten them, you may know them as Pallando and Alatar." This way they can use the names people know about and still leave room for this to not be the only name nor the correct names of them, just what book readers may know them as. A few seconds of dialog and you would give huge nod to the Tolkien fan base, instead it looks like Gandalf is not too bright nor loyal to his own very small group... there are only 5 in the entire world and Gandalf can't remember them!!! It was just bad, would be better to have not named any of them, since it was just a device to introduce Radaghast.

Good point. I really like your line fix. You're right, that would have been much better.

Your Istari are great. Certainly a wonderful job. Now I need to look for a second Sharkey so I can do the same!

You know that was done for a reason, right?

If they don't have the rights to use the names, it is still no reason to make Gandalf not remember them. "there are the two blue wizards, far to the east...and Radaghast the brown."

All were saying is that PJ could have been a bit more creative with the line.

hold on - in the cited link it says GW uses the names Naurandir and Súlrandir. where are these mentioned? i haven't come across mention of the Blue Wizards in GW's work.

Here is a wiki article

http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_Wizards

And an LOTR wiki about them

http://lotr.wikia.com/wiki/Blue_Wizards

I've never heard of the names you mention.
