[P] July Challenge "The Forces of Good"

First WIP photo of my Elf...

Wire spear fitted through the hand (VERY careful drilling! Finecast is very difficult to drill through...) I had to angle the spear carefully...took a bit of superglueing...I'm just too fussy sometimes!

Light coat of white undercoat sprayed on.

The shield gets added later, once the base coating and Army Painter Strong Tone has been brushed on. This will be the next WIP picture: the base coated and 'dipped' model, hopefully tomorrow or Sunday.

Final WIP shots of my Elf

Here's a pic of the Elf having just had the Army Painter Strong Tone applied...
He looks pretty rough at this stage, I think you'll agree...

Here he is having had highlights applied with the original base coat colours, plus extra little highlights on the edges of the cloak, on the armour/helmet and on the helmet plume and waist sash. The shield has now been added too. (the back of this was done first then the shield was glued on, before the front was completed.) You'll get a better shot of that later once I have finished the basing, which is this evening's job.

Final pictures of completed model later tonight if I have time...tomorrow if not...
