They are probably the closest in scale to LOTR dwarves that I have found so far - not just height wise but in comparable proportions. I find dwarves from other companies (Mantic, Westwind, Scibor, Gamezone etc) tend to have more exaggerated proportions even if about the same height as LOTR.

One day I will post a comparison of dwarves from all the different companies I have.

Yep that's what amazes me with those fallen dwarf crossbowmen, they look like they carry a certain realism to their sculpt that they mix well with Lotr dwarves. Other dwarves look kind of cartoonish and exagerated as you put it.

Well if I ever needed crossbow dwarves, now I know where to look, thanks.

I like these dwarves from the Dark Side - a few other people have been showcasing them. They are the perfect size and they have the look of an army rather than a rag-tag bunch.

Yep, can't wait to start painting the rest of them. The only thing I am not sure about is the shields. They seem too exaggerated to me. I'm going to experiment with some different shields to see what they look like.
