I have just received my Golfimbul model. The warg has a hole in it to secure the model however the bottom of the model does not have a peg to fit in the hole. Does this mean I have to pin the model myself or is the hole in the warg meant for something else?

The plastic wargs have holes for the tuff of fur in the plastic warg rider set.
Ssince this is a metal/plastic combo, well you have to glue him on and I am pretty sure he covers most of the hole. if need be gap fill. He will look great, no worries. one of my favorite orcs.

The warg is from the warg riders set, so the hole is for the orc rider to plug into like the Riders of Rohan. As the plastic wargs were still new at the time, GW just took the liberty of using the new product instead of adding more metal.

As sith said, you can just glue it fine, but you might want to pin it or magnetize so the glue doesn't damage or leave residue if you decide to repaint him down the track.

Nope, its a pretty old one from about...2006? 2007. There was some license iffiness, and it was renamed as "Orc captain" for a while, then disappeared.

It's a nice, if cooky, model. More of a "Hobbit" range looking figure than an LOTR looking figure, if that makes any sense :)

You cant really see clearly on the photos because of the black primer, however I was pretty disappointed with both thelook of plastic Warg and the fit, so I used Greenstuff quite generously to beef up the Warg and make it look more threatening. I also fashioned a harness. I think the two now sit together much better.

Also all of the Mane and mmuch of the tail was crafted from Greenstuff, Im quite pleased at how the 'fur effect' looks on these photos, now just need to paint it up!
