hi, i'm new to this site. i've been collecting for years now since FOTR came out, but i work v-e-e-e-r-y slowly. anyway this is just something i'd like to show you guys.

it's bear- beorn modified to have more in common with man-beorn. the original GW sculpt to me just looks like an ordinary bear. so i added some facial hair to the bear.

will be posting more pics later on. as of right now, i'm just waiting for the greenstuff to cure.

I see what you did there! Really clever idea. I too think the bear model is lacking somewhat. Well done! I look forward to seeing him painted up and with his human counterpart!

Nice addition with the green stuff. I will be interested to see it when painted to get the full effect.

thanks guys! this is what i'm aiming for.
the pic below is a design from weta, but i don't know if it was the final design or just concept art.

we hardly get a good look at beorn in bear mode in DOS, so i don't really know what he looks like.

will be posting more pics of man and bear beorn soon!
i'm really hoping to see some major mauling in film 3!

Excellent, that is what I call a bear full of anger. Isn't it funny how a little bit added has made so much difference to this figure.
This alteration must be a must for anyone buying this figure, big praise mate.

I have to admit, that I am not a big fan of the look of Beorn's bearshape as GW shaped it, but you've done a fantastic job! Love it!

that was the look i was trying to get, so both beorn forms have a visual connection.

I'm amazed how such a small alteration created such a large improvement! Well done!
