Gigantic Gondor Army

Check out the latest force Blue Table Painting have been working on.... over 1000 models in a huge Gondorian force. No idea how you'd use this, even in WotR...it takes up almost a full table.

How can anyone have the patience to paint that many Gondorians, and paint them well?! I'd never be able to manage to paint something like that. Partially because I couldn't afford to, and partially because there's just so many of them! That is insane!

My initial reaction is way too inappropriate to share in public! :lol:

I'm really dreading the sixty ish Warriors of Minas Tirith that I need to paint. Now I feel as if I am doing comparatively nothing. If I had to paint that many WoMT then there would probably be that many people hurt by my extreme impatience...

That has to be several armies put together for dramatic effect. Why on earth would you want 3 Boromirs in the same force?

Wow, and I thought mine was going to be big! I've just finished planning out my Gondorian force and it will be around 560 models and close on 7000 points for the SBG!

I'd better get buying up any WoMT I find!

Biggest army I think I've ever seen. Someone must have had a hell of a lot of patience to paint that lot up. Painted pretty well too.

Just a side topic relative to this
If any of you guys had a chance to make a gigantic army, what would it be?

Mine would be Harad; 10 Mumakils, and Suladan leading a large host of raiders say 100, plus 200 infantry. Ain't a thousand but still pretty gargantuan.

Also who actually owns a large army? My largest is Gondor with 76/153 painted. Second largest is Isengard with 142 but only 11 painted. Rohan is currently my largest painted army at 78.

My largest would be Galadhrim, around 230 infantry and 30 cavalry, supported by 60 high elf infantry and 50 old/new mirkwood elves.
Probably around 180 infantry and 15 cavalry painted for the galadhrim.

The host of the elves is still mighty!
