Ironically Narzug is an excellent golfer akin to Alice Cooper.

I really like the warpaint on Narzug and the skin is very well done. Keep it up, Josh!

And now for something completely different.... full marks for coming up with a take on warg-riding unlike any I have seen before. An orc to rival Master Legolas in the agility stakes? Well done!

Well, that is not what I intended. Much like the kneeling archers, or guards standing with spears at leisure / ease stance, I was making another model that is in between poses. I have a few idea's for the stance, 1 he is closing on an enemy cav charge and decided to climb up and then leap off to tackle the other cav rider. 2 he is being charged an is getting his feet in a stance to be able to jump up or off or at the charger, or dodge, what ever is needed. 3, the warg and rider approach a cliff, he stands up to get a better view of the area below, surveying the scene. 4 he just grabbed the reins and pulled himself on to the warg and is moments from dropping to a seated position.
Anyway, as with any other LOTR model, he is a moment in time not representing how he would be in every battle scenario. Again a kneeling ranger would stand up and draw a blade when he is charged by an enemy, A hero would stop waving his sword in the air and bring his shield up to bear, etc..

I will just leave my unkind words about Legolas surfing and head walking agility to myself and know that there are equally impressive yet realistic ways to show a agile and slick fighter (at least he didn't do any Van Damme Splits).

Van Damme splits - apparently they are weak, compared to this sort of stunt:

I have a deep respect for Chuck as a multi world champion martial artist and long time supporter of action and martial arts films. He even taught Van Damme for a while before Jean got a film break and left (much like luke left Yoda before finishing training).

But this is not real.

Jeans would rip. Guys would fall off. Camera would not be still. Planes could not fly that close for long enough to make the shot...anyone could go on for days at the reasons that this is not possible.

Have to make more windows. Complete the make shift shelter on the top. Then I can start work on the next level down. This will be huge, eventually.

I'm much happier with this now, you spent some time evening out the brickwork and it's starting to look very impressive.

I think I recognise a piece from a Brettonian helmet - the wee statue above the door?

Yes indeed, A Bretonian helmet is where that was from, I sold all my Brets a while ago so it was a spare bit in the box.

This tower represents only the top 1/3 of the entire castle I am making on a mountain side. so, even small things like brickwork will blend away in the grand scape of the entire thing.
I want to make a sort of pulley or crank crane that one would use to bring supplies up to the top without going up stairs. I think it would make sense but I am not sure how I would go about it, most likely have to look at some dwarven mine terrrain pieces to get some thoughts.

Thanks for the comments everyone.

I tried my hand at adding bowstrings. Does this look right?

Also I did slap paint on that conversion.

The bow looks okay to me, very good in fact. The conversion though, looks - to me - absolutely ridiculous, though it is improved by the painting.
