Best Painter [VOTING]

The winner will be given a Purple name on the forums (in the same way that my name is Green) and receive a pack of our limited edition Purple One Ring dice, available only to the winners of these awards.

The good thing about the list is that there are many distiguished styles of painter on it. I couldn't come down hard on who was the "best" as such. So I picked who was my favourite, the one who makes me scratch my head when I see their final results - Minimal Monkey Saddle.

There is quality of painting, and quantity of high quality painting, and consistency of high quality painting. So I voted for 1 person but in truth it would be damned hard to pick out one uber-painted miniature from at least 7 of the people listed above.

I was the first aside from DMS to nominate so I went with DMS but I'd like to say Gandlaf the Grey deserves to be in this discussion as well, even if he's not on the ballot

This was a really tricky one for me as well. It was between DMS and Minimal Monkey Sadle. In the end I went for the latter. He paints to a very high standard, and has a very distinctive style which I really love. That's not to take away from anyone else who was nominated, but when the quality is so high one just has to go on personal taste as the deciding factor.

I agree Gandlaf should have been nominated for this also. Great work in his WIP.

DMS rightly deserves this win, imo, great painting, easily the best on this site and always available for help and guidance. I am personally a better painter from reading and chatting with Kev.
