Curses! Gw's rather odd decision to not release the Beorn Bear model in January means I'll probably have to sit this one out, no other monsters near the top of the painting list and got to get lots of other stuff done for some tourneys in Feb and March. Shame really, haven't missed a challenge in a few months, good luck to all though, looking forward to seeing what everyone comes up with.

Upload the picture to photobucket and then copy and paste the IMG code into the One Ring thread - this will display your picture.

@Marsbar - I don't have enough time in the day to paint my own models let alone taking on anyone else's! Thanks for the compliment though buddy. It might be nice to have a month off actually and not be desperately trying to get a model finished before the penultimate day of the month so I can take daylight photos on the last day for once!

My son and I will both be entering this competition. This is the first I've participated in quite a while. I will be attempting the Goblin King from the Escape from Goblin Town boxed set, and my son will be painting a Griffin from the Warhammer range.

I tested out my paint scheme on a test Goblin, so hopefully all will go well.

Good luck, competitors! Let's clear out those backlogs!

Had to write the stuff on paper, since I do this from my iPad. Instead now, I'd like to change Sauron to Treebeard, seems as it appears everyone is doing something different.

Hi, this shall be my first post on the forum after being a longtime lurker, though Ive been meaning to post something in the new members thread for a little while now... Im rather forgetful.

Anyway Ive been interested in entering one of these challenges for a while now and this seemed a good opportunity to finally go for it. So heres my entry, Bill the troll, and sorry about having to use the paper for evidence, I too only have this android tablet to take pictures with :)

Alright guys!

here we go, it's been a while since actively posting on hobby-pages like One-Ring and my local Dutch lotr/hobbit sbg website.

Since I made a new-years pledge on GWhobby (the above mentioned local hobby website) to paint a miniature for every day of the coming year. Every competition will guarantee me at least 12 models... would you guys mind being the foot behind the door?

My Painting Challenge model is:

Looking at entries of previous challenges, it seems as if more pictures are allowed as long a the pics are in the form of a compilation.
Is this indeed the case?
With the vast size of some monsters, it can be tricky to show the model while also clearly having the base on there. Just took some shots of my troll (aye, already finished! :D ) and found that four horizontal shots from different angles is good for the model itself, while a compilation of more diagonal shots of the base could be a solution. Would that be alright?

Good to see such a variety of possible entries already, and a solid number too. Think I'll hold off posting my finished pics for a bit, would be strange to have those while new proof is still being posted.

@TheBlondeRider: Didn't know you were on here, although judging by your post count, you barely are! Definitely show of your hobby skills here in the future, I'm sure many are interested.

Ok guys, big question here - what colours should I do my d-d-dragon? Also anyone got any bright ideas for how to make a groovy base for the guy?
