wondering a 500 pt of just shades would be a good idea. if u keep them all together in a bunch would be very effect in theory. since their aura stacks all fights will that are rolled by your opponent will be down by 5 so no matter what they roll it will be a 1. so u will win 5/6 fights and since they got d 8 bow fire wouldn't really be effective to them. i know they only got 1 attack and 1 str but they wound on courage and most troops only have a c of 3 or 4 so only 5 are needed to be a wound. heros would be a bit harder but i can see this army working and being effective so what are any ones thoughts about this. and i'm assuming the aura does stack since it says it stacks with other penalties.

I believe other penalties in such wording would mean penalties with a different name than that of the shade. But I may be very well wrong about this.

well it i cant find rules stating it doesn't any were and it does say in the aura it cumulative with other penalties so i assume yes. or it would be saying it cant stack with its own aura but in a different type of wording at least. other wise if i can i'm going to buy some then to try it. and if some one does now the answer i would love to see it were it says so i know were to look to :).

edit: also can some one post a link up to gameswork shop on these shades i cant seem to find them on their page.

I believe the shades are oop. At this point, it's probably best to proxy/convert them appropriately.

It can only stack with OTHER penalties lol not the same one repeatedly. That'd be too cheap

Oop is out of production

Chill Aura. [...] Any enemy model within 6"/14cm of one or more Shades [...] (this is cumulative with other such penalties [...].

There is no additional effect of being in range of >1 Shades, as others have said.

5 shades would suck. 5 models, no might, no fate. Game would be over in 10 minutes.

mix shade and gundabad blackshield shaman, the shatter making models unarmed should help you, and its easy to cast :p
And if you face dwarves get ready to get the shade ability neutralized if they bring floi, which I think hes a great dwarf for this kind of models :P
