Which one is your local one? There's one in North Dallas on Preston Rd of that's anywhere near you.

Now that the new rule book is for sale I know there are images of the new gundabad orcs in it.

Can some one post these here? That would be great :yay:

If you go a few pages back there is a rather bad pic of them taken by someone.

Also, the dale warriors have shields whereas laketown cannot take them.

Hmm it seems my photos selfdestructed...doesnt matter seeing as they were rubbish anyway. I won't bother posting them again then >.>

I'm actually just west of DFW in Weatherford so I visit the Denton GW most often, their manager likes LOTR the best of GW's games and he keeps LOTR well stocked

Nobody knows for sure, but based on the fact there are profiles for them, we'd assume so. Some profiles never get models, e.g.: Corsair Reavers.

There are models for lake town. They are shown in the new book.

Look back a few pages, and there are pictures of an army of them.

Sweet! I'll have to check that one out, everyone plays 40k in my neck of the woods.

Hey guys, I was looking around on google just now, and suddenly I found some new models for DOS by GW.
Here's the link
http://www.laguerradelanillo.com/content/view/936/1/

I don't speak the language, so I don't know if there is a release date or something. Also, if this has been posted already, I'm sorry, I just got so excited haha.

Why are Legolas and Tauriel so expensive, although they are plastic?

Guaranteed bubble free? :rofl

The single plastic characters do tend to be more expensive than the finecast equivalents - I suspect it has to do with the production process. Finecast is fairly cheap to produce (god only knows why it was so expensive - though I imagine we can make some fairly cynical, if accurate guesses) whereas the steel moulds for plastic aren't. Remember finecast was made necessary due to the rising cost of metals becoming untenable at the scale GW do business - it was designed to be a cheap alternative.

Combined with a smaller sales potential compared to plastic troops (how many times are you likely to buy the same version of a character? Once? Maybe a couple of times if you want to convert him or something? Plastic troops are much more likely to be purchased multiple times, allowing the cost to be lower) and GW want to put the price up to compensate.

Not sure if this has already been mentioned, but the model which represented Bolg before the release of DOS has now been changed on the Games Workshop website to a Gundabad Orc General. This may mean that we have a new Bolg miniature to look forward to in the near future.

Good old days when you could get 24 warrors in one box... In plastic which is superior to metal and finecast! At least my finecast bolg didn't have any faults...

I actually didn't mind plastic back then. Obviously metal was superior, but around the ROTK I really felt like plastic was a good quality (obviously less so than today) and a good value for the money. In the US it was $25 for 24 soldiers, so a dollar per soldier was awesome (figuring the extra buck in for packaging etc)
