Firstly yes we are now on the same page. The rider takes a double hit. S3 from being smacked and S3 from being unhorsed.

In my reading, no you cannot reroll because you never rolled.
So regardless of expert rider if a hurl hits a horseman then the rider will roll 2 dice at S3 to see if he is wounded.

Does the mount also get a hit? For example a warg, because wargs don't automaticly run?

Each model hit is dismounted, each model passed over is hit, so I would say both get hit.... but I am open for discussion on this one

Can only suggest avoid combat with the big bad monsters as much as possible, kill them or everything else with archers or throwing spears and if you do hit combat, follow the earlier advice of mobbing and heroic striking.

With cavalry you need to make the most of your mobility, so really make the enemy work hard to catch you riders up close.

soo now the balrog is just this one giant threat that even if u just feed 1 guy he is going to have a high chance of killing something. wow i really need to use hurl a lot more >) muhahahahahaha. a good way of avoiding big baddy is surrounding them and hoping for a win. u get a trapped roll and good chance for scoring a few wounds. don't try and just giving him 2 or 3 troops i lost my dragon because i let him get surrounded and rolled 1 3 3 4 with him and he got slain. surrounding monsters is a good way to kill them and also using a heroic strike will help with this as well.
