Hello!

Once again I present for your delectation an 'Escape From Goblin Town' battle report.

This time Bilbo, fresh from his battle of wits with Smeagol/Gollum, must try to reunite with Gandalf, who in turn is busy fighting for survival against the Goblin King and his mutant horde.

I'm so disapointed Gandalf didn't manage to knock down the entire Goblin conga line like dominos, that would have been hilarious. At least we got see the Goblin King's epic skills in goblin tossing  .

Awesome as usual!

There is a rule where whenever a model gets blasted into an obstacle or a model with STR6+ (Goblin King), the model stops. I agree that monsters shouldn't be knocked prone (imagine a moria goblin flying into a balrog hehe) but the rules do state that all models are knocked prone.

Don’t forget that the target of a sorcerous blast suffers a STR5 hit. You said 4+ to wound for that goblin at the very end but it should have been 3+.

It’s too bad the blubbery [word deleted] wasn't utilized to his full extent. Although I had a huge grin on my face when he hurled…Gotta love this game hehe :-D

I found this to be the easiest scenario in the book for Good to win. Turn 1: Gandalf casts Terrifying Aura, Bilbo puts the Ring on. After that, every turn have them moving closer while Gandalf used Sorcerous Blast on the Goblin King or whoever's closest to him, depending on which is the bigger threat.

Best one yet! Now you've completed the starter set scenarios, what's next?

Radagast has a scenario in the set, so we'll be playing that (hopefully) next weekend. 8)
