I am surprised no one has used a Knight of the white tower seeing as that is not a "named" hero , and would be interesting to see how they get on.

I almost put him in the MT list but then it's hard to fill a single warband out to 220. Even taking a King with all the bells and whistles left me 5 points short.

He's great, no doubt, but that would leave you with only 1 point of might and I reckon a mounted King with a lance can deal just as much pain.

Also he is risky at winning fights because of his double handed weapon and works best putting the boot in as part of a team!

I challenge anyone with the following Killer combo!

Ring Wraith on fellbeast with 2 Might and 8 Will.
1 Mordor Troll.

Which is bang on the money.

It would be crucial to use the Ring Wraiths might on occasion to get a heroic fight in to wittle down the enemy numbers.

1 or 2 drain courage could seriously neutralise an enemy hero, and cuse him to expend might and will to actually charge anything, or keep him on the board if you can break his force!

I am going to try this challenge with my mates and see how it goes?

Nazgûl quite definitely count as named heroes (even the normal ones without, well, an actual name). One on a fellbeast also is very much over 100pts. Oh, and no monsters allowed in the warband...

As for that Knight of the White Tower, his special rule is only useful against a single enemy model (opposing hero) most of the time, though he could be fun against a Half Troll horde I suppose! Single might point isn't too attractive either...

I didn't say no monsters on the opening post, also if you are going to allow one of the un named kings of men, who became one of the un named ring wraiths it seems to be breaking its own rule.-

that's totally different, because there were more than kings, and when you take a ringwraith it Always is one of thos other guys of the wraits, because all are known and named in the game, the kings are not

The only option for goblin town would be a goblin captain and as many goblins as possible (12 i think) I guess.... Maybe with 3 or 4 goblins with two handed axes.

that would come to a grand total of 83 points! lol. I think goblin town might have to step out on this one in the single warband challenge. Now the 3 warband challenge with a 250pts total, that's where goblin town would shine.

you can change 2 of them to bat swarms and make 1 golblim join them and you'r in.
Or you can say some of theme may not use their bows. (some guy ever brought a ranger army of witch most weren't alowed to shoot :D)

Looks pretty nasty! And yet enormously fun.
