[P] November Painting Challenge : WARBANDS

Rules

YOUR CHALLENGE ENTRY DOES NOT HAVE TO BE GAME LEGAL.
If you are unsure as to whether something will be eligible for entry, just post asking or PM me and I will let you know whether or not you may use it.
Eligible entry combinations1. A Warband of 8 foot models must contain one hero or generic captain.
2.A Warband of 4 Mounted models must contain one hero or generic captain.
3. A Warband made up of heroes only. This option must contain at least 4 hero models.

You may mix and match from the three options. For example 4 foot models and 2 mounted is an acceptable entry as long as at least one hero is included. Any problems or concerns just pm me and i'll help you out.

1.To complete the challenge a miniature must be completed by November 30th

2. To enter the painting challenge, the miniatures you are painting must not be painted before starting and picture proof must be shown of the miniatures 'pre-painted' (unprimed, undercoated or if you are repainting and old miniature - in its' original paint scheme) otherwise your entry will not be eligible.

3. You may join the painting challenge in progress at any time, but must submit photographs of the completed miniature by midnight GMT of November 30th 2013. WIP images are welcomed and encouraged. A maximum of 5 photos per model of your completed entries please, this allows you to show your miniatures off from multiple angles.

4. Miniatures that are completed in time will be eligible to win the challenge. The challenge winner will be decided by the vote of the OR community. The community will choose one winner and one runner-up from the completed miniatures. Votes should be cast not simply on painting skill, but on merit, including creativity, application of painting techniques, artist improvement, etc. There is no prize available for the winners of this challenge, the challenge is solely for community participation and as an incentive for people to reduce their backlog and improve their painting skills.

5. Winners from the previous month are able to participate in the next months painting challenge, but they are not eligible to win in consecutive months.

Hi,

I'm participating with a warband of Numenor! The hero is a conversion based on Cirion with a numenor Helmet, he will get the fitting shield too.

I hope I can finish those guys...

This is my entry, the Men of Dale with the finecast Captain.
I plan to paint all 11 but enter my favourite 8

Lets get started early, hopefully I can finish an entry. Yazneg + 6 Hunter Orcs on fell warg. How hard can it be? :lol:

Given myself two different options for this months challenge, either a warband of goblins lead by the minute goblin captain, or else an all-hero warband consisting of Thorin, Bilbo, Gandalf and Gloin.

May be pushing it a bit to get all of those heroes done to a standard I'm happy with in a month, so may have to plump for the goblins, but you never know. Included proof pictures of both, so I can decide what to enter later

Great stuff Harfoot, I love those models and you don't see a lot of them about, can wait to see what you do with them!

It's an all hero Thorin's Company warband for me - should have a proof pic up tomorrow.

Just in case I get them finished this month, here are Mauhur and some equally pleasant followers:

The siege troops will get converted to Ferals (no idea how yet..), but if those aren't done at the end of this month, 8 normal scouts will be available.

Here's my entry, my remaining 8 Thorin's Company models. It's quite funny to think I entered all these guys into the August Dwarf Holds challenge and still haven't got around to painting them!

There's no way I'll get all 8 done but hopefully I'll manage to finish at least 4 of the dwarves so I'm eligible!

Wow 9 entries so far, this month is going to be a classic, quick update on my men of Dale, slow going the amount of detail on each figure has really surprised me. Great sculpts though.

I hope to enter with a warband of Sons of Eorl. However, this is dependent on my converting them for the sculpting competition, in time to submit them here and paint them properly!

Wow you have set yourself quite a task there SD and I am looking forward to seeing the finished miniatures! I suppose that if time proves fleeting you only have to get four mounted miniatures finished!
