Hey guys, just thought I would share this with you all! Its the first time I've attempted anything like this and it was seriously rushed so is obviously not great but I hope you can all see what I was aiming for with it!
I was watching the two towers and thought it would be pretty cool to make a miniature display of the scene so I gave it a go!
The legolas miniature is pretty badly painted as I did it really quickly and also the model was just a quick resin cast I made of a legolas I had.
Anyway, hope yours like it and feel free to criticise away..
I'm sure many of you could make a much better job of it but thought I would just share the idea as I hadn't seen one like it before! :-) :legolas:

Wow! Thanks everyone for the kind feedback! I had been expecting more criticism really!
Starting to wish I had tried to get a proper figure for it rather than using a pretty poor cast, althought it would have been harder to manipulate his leg to allow him to be at an angle. Might have another go at painting the face better and maybe try sculpt a bit more detail into some of the worst areas (not really noticeable in the photo)

That was a great idea! Well done! And I think the sculpt is fine personally, nothing wrong with it

ABSOLUTE RUBBISH! Only joking, I really like the idea and why has no one done this before? You have picked up from a great scene in the film and I am glad that you have done this! Non LOTR SBG fans will see this miniature and smile as it is instantly readable as a great and popular film moment.

Its good , but a bit of criticism i would add is the if you watch the part he is sliding down in the film , the stair is longer and around the last quarter at the bottom he slides the uruk shield into the incoming uruk-hai neck who have broken through. So if you were to improve it i would perhaps try a different model and a bigger stair perhaps put him in around 60% down the stair and maybe try a different legolas pose?

Just some friendly advice :)

Thanks everyone!

Yeah I had considered making a larger version but u wanted something that would look cool on just a small base. Was also just something I wanted to try out as I was surprised when I couldn't find any others like it.
I would have liked a better legolas pose but that was the only model I had apart from one other which was definitely not suitable. That version does look better on it than I had expected though!

Keep an eye out in the next film and see if you can model a similar equivalent?
