Has anyone out there modelled any thing with intentional comedic results?
Sometimes with the best will in the world things go awry and we end up with something unexpected. There are not many truly comic moments in the LOTR Trilogy or the Hobbit, but I really feel that someone out there should have a go at making something. So if you have modelled or would consider model Gimli being tossed, or Biffur being helped to pull his trousers up (well I think that's what was happening after the Troll battle?), please post images for the amusement of the community?

I don't have a pic of it, but one of our local players (who happens to have made and sold some sculpts for non-GW games) did one that I loved. It was one of the Uruk 'zerks running with the flaming torch originally but after a little creativity it was running with a snuggly blanket and holding a very cute teddy bear to its chest.

To be honest I can tell you that a few times it would show up on the table and you just didn't realize it was him at first. And it was always fun watching the first time someone noticed.

Brilliant, there's nothing like a comedy miniature used for wind-ups!

I would love to see that!

Well I don't have any comedically converted models, however I do have certain models that gain large reputations on the board for silly and often hilarious things.

By the way Beowulf, please try and take a photo to show us. This sounds mighty funny.

I did take out a Great Eagle with Gollum aided by two Goblin Town goblins, which he killed scoring four wounds as it was surrounded, but my worst experience is loosing a fight with a Mumak against one of Farmer Maggots dogs. It then failed its morale test and routed off the board!

I have just had an idea based on this post! Think I might attempt to try and recreate the scene in moria when gimli jumps on the staircase and is grabbed by the beard ("NOT THE BEARD!").
I reckon I could make a nice mini model like my 'legolas shield slide' one with legolas grabbing gimlis beard and pulling him up! Any thoughts?

I've always wanted to do a conversion with Gandalf smoking a pipe sitting on an eagle XD

hahaha that would be awesome!! gandalf/gimli aragorn and the hobbits all smoking their pipe!

A friend of mine had a funny conversion a few years ago. He tried to convert a rider of rohan in a rohan outrider. He turned his arm up to his head as if he was holding his hand above his eyes just like the outriders do.. funny thing is that the hand wasn't flat so he was holding his fist on his forehead! haha we always refer to that rider as going like Homer Simpson (DOUUUHHGGG) HAHAH always makes us laugh out loud!!

Wasn't there a board of a miniature GW that had people changed up and all skeleton like?

I don't have many that look overly comedic, but I have a couple of 40K Space Marines who look like they're falling over, and a Tau Fire Warrior that I left to my brother to build. That Fire Warrior ended up with his grenade arm upside-down and holding his pulse carbine upside-down and the wrong-way round.
