As some of you know Im going to post in this following topic the process in which I wanna show you my warg for this month´s competition, the choice of colours, textures and base decoration.
alright first thing on orcs is that they are not made for 1 single colour, its a diferent kind of mix bettewn dots, burned skin and even skin pigment according to fungus or other enviroment condition that make so...even filth.
From wiki I collected the following info:
"Skin colour ranges from bone white (Azog and Bolg) and peachy colours (orcs like Gothmog) to shades of green (the orcs of Moria and Gorbag). Most orcs and later Uruks, however, are shown as having darker shades of black or brown skin (for example, the Black uruks and Sharku). Some orcs are also much more human-like than others, Azog looks like a large and muscular but pale and hairless human whilst Gothmog looks much more deformed and less human-like. Towards the end of The Two Towers the Uruk-hai were made to deliberately have more blotchy and patchy skin. This was to hint that the Uruks had already been unnaturally overbred and the race had become inbred. Later Isengard Uruks look much less impressive and well-formed than the first batch of Uruks like Lurtz."
Here some pick examples of the orc skins:
Moria Goblin close look to the skin
Morannon orc with palish skin, you can noticed some scars a more rooting look like skin in some parts
Hunter orc skins with variety of skin and tatoos and warpaints
it is during the night however that camera pic higher quality of the diferent layer opf skins on the orcs, like this fella, look the veins and diferent layers on his pale skin
Its also common to see blond orcs more than just ugluk if you look well
Now for the warg:
Gundabad wargs show diferent patterns than those in the source book, being far more detailed in the fur than we expect according to their age and even location or way of life, and even pack inviduals in society.
look at the corner of this photo, red-brownish fur with black fur back and ears
http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb2 ... Yazneg.png(if you look closely in the movie, yazneg warg is far more black with some greyish fur than the actualy model represented on the GW website, I will place the pick soon so you can notice).
And this will be the subject to the test:
And here is the almost finished guy:
and a more nitid pic
Hope you enjoy
