I pick up a collection of Guards of the Galadhrim Court that are nicely block painted. I need some advice on how to wash and shade the figures to make them look more realistic.

The cloak is GW Regal Blue. I need a wash and highlight color for each. Pleaseuse the OLD GW paint names.

The plume or tail on the helmet is pure white. How can I dess that up?

The armor I can do. It's these two parts that I could use help with.

Mid Sussex Wargamers

To shade you can simply add a touch of Blake to the Regal Blue. Some Scorched Brown and Codex Grey will also help. The grey being used to help with the blending to the lighter colours.
To lighten use the lighter greys like Fortress and you can even take this to pure Skull White at the very extreme highlight.
