Thanks again for your replys!

On the blog of JOMADA you can check more of my Grimhammers and Erebor Warriors:

http://jomada-adventures.blogspot.de

Of course there will be some more miniatures on my own blog, but i think most of them i will publish on JOMADA in future.

I love that banner. Is it made of putty or from another mini? The only thing missing is a suitable insignia for it. Seems a shame to leave it just plain black

Jawdropping.. but i have to agree with ukfreddybear: a sigil, an emblem or something would really be the detail that makes that mini stand out! :)

Excellent. I agree with the others though, an emblem would finish it off

Amazing work! I follow all of your work over at Lead Adventure, but I didn't know that you were also on One-Ring. Your painting always manages make me go "Wow!" 8)

Thank you guys!

The idea behind the black banner is that i want to avoid any belongings to Mordor or Angmar for example. My next project is a orc horde straying in the Wilderlands. So i think a blank banner without any emblem is the best solution for that. Or what you do think? Are there any other orcish symbols than the red eye etc.?

Maybe one day i will take Azog as the leader of that horde. So maybe you also have any ideas about a banner for Azog?

what do you think about those standard (hehe, no pun intended) "faces" that the GW models have on their banner?
For example: http://www.games-workshop.com/MEDIA_Cus ... 45x319.jpg

They are rather neutral in concerns of a faction. (at least in my opinion)

It is very well painted :yay: However I would agree that an emblem is necessary.
I think maybe just a dripping red cross of 'blood' which would be neutral enough :)

Some sort of skull perhaps? Crudely painted in orc style of course.

Superbly painted!!!

But the only reason why banners exist is to show an emblem or a symbol....and there is no symbol on that banner.

One of the old Merp books has the "Green Claw" as a fraction, really anything could be used and not set them to a faction.

We want to see a symbol on there. :P Your painting suggests you should be more than capable of it. :)

Grimhammers - superb.
Converted Orc Banner - sublime.
A plain black banner is rather intimidating. It says 'You Know Who WE Are. Prepare to Die'.

The pointing orc is saying 'That one over there - he doesn't need his legs!'
Fantastic work. You have given them tremendous depth with the careful shading and highlighting, and every detail is visible. Great photos!
