I wanted to get another company of royal knights but don't know what I drop for them. Any ideas?

Comments on the army as a whole?

I know that my weakness will be heroic duels, but my commander in the high elf formation has f7, although he lacks the manoevvrability of an epic hero.

I gave a horn to the oathsworns so they can keep up with my elves (almost) any only have 1 formation because otherwise I'd have to buy another horn, which would be extremely annoying indeed.

I plan to put Cirdan in the oathsworns for his foresight save because there'll be loads of casualties there and Ill put galadriel in the high elf formation. I'll put Elladan with the cavalry to us erotic strike when things get messy and elrohir in the archers to add more defence here with his epicness as Cirdan has thi already. Galadriel can restore might to anyone who needs it and can travel to be in range of them if needed.

If the royal knights are only one company strong there is no point in having them.
How many points is the army right now?
To get more royal knights I would cut some oathsworn militia, but there isn't really any point in having more unless you get them up to 3-4companies big. Keeping this list and cutting the knights for a banner might be a better move.

Actually you could consider splitting the militia into two formations, just so you have more to manouevre with.

That's good advice, also I don't like having formations that large because supporting squads only add the +1 (normally of course), I normally don't exceede 3-4 in a formation so I can bring more troops directly to bear against the enemy.

Looks good, you could also split up the archers into 2 formations because it is hard to get 4 companies wide shooting directly at an opponent and again you'll have more manoeuvrability.

I'd swap the war horns for more troops, and Cirdan for Haldir (epic shot beats the few casualty saves anyday IMO).

Seriously though, do NOT bother with Cirdan. Easy to eliminate, not that usful. Thranduil has a massively better use.

If your aim is to get up close and punchy, I'd say drop some Oathsworn and take some Knights of Minas Tirith or some Riders of Rohan Eoreds - you clearly wanted the cavalry and Minas Tirith are fairly tough (compared to a lot of your current list) and the Riders have extra bows for you, whilst keeping theme.

Yes, but he does cost more, and, in an elf army, I think I need to try and conserve points for cheap allies like oathsworns. Also, I think that, from his stats, Cirdan does look useful (Epic Defence, a "fury" save, Magic that reduces the enemy's courage when most of your army has terror) (and fv5 for some oathsworns! ). Thranduil is definately more useful but he costs a lot more and cirdan is good for how I'd like to play,

Haldir is undoubtedly very powerful, but, here I am looking for a hero who can hold a formation together and reduce casualties of squishy troops rather than a hero who can kill off troops at random 3 times in a match.

Cirdan looks useful indeed, untill you see he had just the one might point and a focus of 1. And the resilience of wet tissue.

Take KOMT instead of Eoreds if you want punch. The Eoreds have about the same amount of punch as a particularly ferocious bunny (outside of monty python).

Cirdan won't hold your formation together, he doesn't have the magic and might. His only trick is the save, and that's not enough. For his cost, you could have another 1 1/2 company of Galadhrim, and he isn't going to save 12 men.

Always Haldir over Cirdan. Cirdan is NOT useful and is a points sink - something you can't afford in an Elven army. The save is not as good as it sounds and even his spells are pretty poor, due to his level 1 status. Add to that, he's immensely easy to drop from the game and he's an no-go at all times.

KoMT shields are not worth it - most of the time, they won't even make a difference. Keep them nice and cheap.

Just a thought, you might change Haldir and the Commander for Thranduil as soon as you get him, then you have a F7 hero who can move around, throw about spells and use Epic Shot, far better then H+C.
