I like what you have done here and without knowing your background I will make a stab at helping you.
By the grainy look of Gandalfs cloak, are you watering your paints down ? If not you need a 1 part paint 2 parts water mix as a starting point.
Concentrate on some shading. A very dark blue/black at the deepest folds of the cloak lightened with a grey as you come lighter.
I would say similar for the horse and cart, use more shading in the deepest places to bring out the highlights more.

Well I think that has to do with the picture pixsels as when I look down on it with my eyes it isn't grainy at all. the picture has been made with a lot of light on the model as well so that might explain it also I tink. but i might be trying to shade a little bit more

Thnx

It would nice to have some pictures at a lower level. I can see why you went for an overhead shot but some ground-level ones would be great too. Perhaps one from the front and one from the side. Nice basing by the way.

Is this a new hobbit model - I might be tempted by this perhaps ?

Gandalf and Cart are still available through GW. Check the Shire forces at the bottom. In finecast now instead of metal.

I like the unusual brown basing material, what is it? But what I like the best is the Cheekey Monkey in the background!
