Finished off cirion earlier. I suck at faces, still needs some work on it to get it to a decent level but it'll do for gaming.

Ouch, that sword. I always figured that mini would have some casting issues.

The face looks like you're off to a decent start, some simple highlighting and it'll look fine!

Cirion atop the walls of the White City ;) nice touch!

Have to say I do love your colour scheme for the elite of Gondor Southy.

And re: the sword, I've had a couple of Cirion models and every single one of them has been the same, you're not alone I'm afraid :(

So just in time (as always) I have managed to finish my 700pt Tale of X gamers hunter orc army. The final month had to include a 100pt + centre piece which I decided would be my cave drake...wasnt as fun as I imagined it would be but forced myself to get it done.

But first, completed army shots.

That's a nice looking force and the Crave Drake makes a great center piece :yay:

So with Tale of the gamers out of the way, decided to paint a random model for a change. Decided on galadriel just before DMS put up the thread but ohwell  anyway, I love the outfit she is wearing in the hobbit so I have gone for a similar colour scheme.

WIP sneaky peak.

Edit: After wash and highlight. I used a yellow wash for the hair...doesnt look too bad.

Seeing as I cannot attend battle brothers (doubles) this year, been working on some side projects. Finished converting 6 grimhammers into spear wielding erebor dwarves. They'll also have shields but I stick those on after painting.

Sam they look fantastic mate! Possibly even better than the shield conversions. Really hope you can get this lot finished in time for East Grinsted, I'd love to see the army in the flesh!

Keep up the good work buddy, hope to catch up on Sunday

Got the next 5 converted. Still got 1 more to do, but have to wait to see Knighty to swap grimhammer poses.

Anyway pic:

Gonna go spray then now and then the painting can begin.

I'll be able to bring them along to show but I wont have the entire army done, kinda spent all my funds on X-wing this month so will need to wait to get more boxes. Thanks for the praise, they are good models to convert. Hopefully my time and effort in them will be rewarded with many wins

@madfrog: I take it you mean the cave drake? Thanks :) I think there are pictures of my actual dragon around page 4/5.

What are the backs of the shields like?
Sorry for asking, just interested and don't want to buy them unless I know they're what I'm looking for.
