Hey folks,
I wanted to show my progress on my Dwarf Warriors (and a few other miniatures). I'm also going to use this thread to show my WIP of some Vault Wardens I'm working on.

This first photo is my portable paint station. I actually do most of my painting from this little thing so I can sit on the couch "watch" TV and be with my family when I paint in the evenings. As you can see, the dwarves are about 1/2 through the paint process.

And here are a few photos of my dwarves finished:

I'd love your thoughts. I am starting some Vault Wardens I picked up and will start posting a WIP on those figures.

I also posted a TON of other figures from this set of Dwarves on my website (in the Gallery section). There's also new photos of older miniatures I worked on...Elrond, Haldir, Gandalf and my first attempt at sculpting an Ent. It would be cool if ya checked those out and I welcome feedback.

Some very nice painting you've done there. I note you use a wet palette which suggest you know your stuff. Not that I needed any further clues with the standard of your painting.
I like the way you have done the checkered shield with different halves to each diamond segment, a nice idea.
The bottom left dwarf has one of the smoothest blue cloaks I've ever seen - excellent work.
The Chainmail on the bottom right dwarf isn't working for me though. It isn't as good as the others.

Fwaaargh! Its great to see a collection where all the stops have been pulled out painting wise, even with the rank and file! Its so much more satisfying when everything has been painted to the highest standard.

Also not too bad NMM. I think a bit more practise will help but it is good.

Thanks so much for commenting. Good eye on the chainmail. I agree and might need to figure that out (maybe I just rushed it...).

I actually haven't used NMM on any of these miniatures (just different contrasts of metalic paints...i.e. golds/silvers.). I think the photos make them look a bit NMM since they aren't as "Sharp".

Thanks. I honestly can't remember where I got that last miniature. It purchased both a goblin and dwarf (and maybe and elf) from this sculptor who had a line of figures that were clearly GW LOTR inspired. Maybe someone here can identify the maker.

That is brilliant work on those dwarfs with the most impressive color scheme I've ever seen  The shield on the bottom dwarf is absolutely magnificent :yay:

Some lovely work here. Thanks for sharing these photos :-) I'm particularly impressed with the banners and the shields.

The dwarf is a Miniaturas del Castillo captain. I remembered seeing him before, and I found him in Pasi's guide to painting dwarves in the tomes of wisdom. :-D

And superb painting, I'll check out the gallery and your site (and comment further) when I have time.

MDC did a nice little line of LotR themed models. I think I have them all. The dwarf, Goblin, 3 High Elf captains, Axemen of Lossarnach and Corsairs.

Nicely painted dwarves by the way :)

The dwarves are brilliant :yay: :yay: I really like the blue and white colour scheme and the patterns on the shields are perfect. I had a look at your web page and see you won a silver demon once so you are obviously talented. I think you did a great job with the sculpting of the ents - pity you gave up!

Amazing work. Those chequered shields are stunning.

May I ask how you handled the dwarves in this plastic kit thet have detail problems? If I recall correctly there's at least one with armour plates on his shoulder that are all messed up and they kind of run together and the detail vanishes. it drove me crazy when i assembled a box of them.

Not to derail the thread, but can you still get them anywhere?

Unfortunately not. Which is a shame.
