Wood Elves 750 pts (New List 08/05/13)

Hi guys,
Here's a list I hope to get the models for soonish.
Please comment and say if you like/ do not like it and why, or what you like/ dislike the most and what could be improved.
Anyway, here goes:

Rumil
10 WEWs (spears, tds)

Haldir (bow)
10 WEWs (spears, tds)

Legolas (armour)
10 WEWs (bows)

Thranduil
2 Sentinels
6 WEWs (spears, tds)
2 WEWs (bows, spears)

Ditch one of the sentinels and upgrade all archers to Mirkwood Guard because they will hit much more often

I would recommend a couple of Elven Blades. O=(Only a couple mind) But you seem to have a well-constructed army here.

I'm afraid the bow limit has been exceeded! Magic is a must. D o not underestimate Galadriel in both guises.

Yes you are one bowman over the limit. Besides that this list looks really solid and well constructed

I like it, though I agree a couple of blades can be useful, especially in Rumil's squad. Give them TDs as well. I wouldn't drop a Sentinel, having only 1 just doesn't seem worth it.

I really like the fact that you have six shots between your three archer Heroes, that much fire-power between that few models is devastating, and in most cases helps you more through psychological intimidation than actual dice rolls, it can just be hard to charge your orcs/goblins/Uruks/etc through a barrage of bow-fire knowing how easily they can be taken out.

Legolas (armour)
10 WEWs (bows) (2 blades)

Thranduil
2 Sentinels
6 WEWs (spears, tds)
1 WEW (bow, spear)

This is now exactly 500 points as the previous list was 2pts over. I think I have put the blades in the right places? Please say if not and where you would put them.

As you can see, I removed the archer in thranduil's warband which made it over the bow limit to get the points for the blades.

I saw you posted in the east grinstead tournament thread, I don't suppose this list is for that event?

If so I am not looking forward to fighting this :p

No, just wondered about rules for tournaments etc...

I'm hoping to do this list mainly with the new unarmoured wood elves that cme out with the Desolation of Smaug.

Until then, I might just proxy a few high elves for practice.

Hope to enter tournaments, but probably not for a year or so at least.

Are there age restrictions?
