@theavenger001: You're correct! Ebob Normans + cloaks and feathers.

Means you'd need a lot of elves to cut them down... and Glorfindel... :-D

@grunge: wow! Very impressed! Liking the fiery effects 8) :yay:

@Fin: Woah those conversions look fantastic! They fit into Middle earth perfectly in my opinion :yay: Might have to get some of them...

Gothmog the Balrog and a FULL warband of Bloodletters of Khorne in the dark:

Fixed ;) Still look waaaaaay to demony and 40k for my liking. Not enough work done to convert imo. Horns are too big and the model is too small.

Hopefully will get my warband of Orcs done by next week, got the Ihateplasticorcs syndrome

I managed to get a couple of pretty good pictures. I will try and get some more (and possibly better) ones yet.

Here's my entry - 3 mounted khandish warriors, and a mounted khandish cheiften:

Looking good so far everyone!

Though it's funny how - apart from Grunge's Balrog - none of the finished models entered so far are actually from the LotR range :P

@ souterndunedain they are exactly the right size for their stat line( a strength 5 unit should not be any larger tbh) they ARE dwellers in the dark however as they suit my middle earth iconography far better than the official model which does not appeal to me for a number of reasons
1-made of fc
2-£25
3-ugly and disproportionate incl horns
4-too big for their relatively meagre stat line
you are entitled to your opinion nevertheless :)

Grungehog: spectacular finish!, very unique warband and an inspiration to see. I really admire what you've done, especially making the miniatures work for your vision of Middle Earth.

Fin: Those are ridiculously good looking miniatures and painted perfectly, bases are top notch and your photography skills are of the highest order. very impressive.

theavenger001: Nice clean solid painting, cool bases and good to see more different miniature ranges being used for LOTR.

Nice to see a few non GW miniatures this month.

I agree Grungehog I dislike the dweller in the Dark GW sculpt and really envy your painting skill and army :-D

Complete and here's my entry then, best of luck to all entrants! Goblin King warband with his Goblin Warrior followers, a little extra detail on the base (look out for the rat on the King's base). I've always thought Games Workshop's color scheme was too bright and too grey at the same time, I went for a natural Goblin look, which is how I imagine they should be.
