Does anyone happen to know where to buy casualties or a good way to make them?

I saw them on the GW website but I really only care about the Gondor and Orc ones (I hope to eventually make an Osgiliath board and I would love to scatter the board with casualties for effect :-D )

Apologies if this is a duplicate post, I tried searching but did not see anything.

Are you any good at sculpting? If you had any broken miniatures you could make them casualties easily enough

Another way is to pick a suitable figure and file or cut the back away to make it flatter. That way it will lie on the board better and give something like a casualty touch.
A bit of green stuff here and there will no doubt help but this could be a cheaper and more unique option.

Models that break is what I use. For example. my Uruk-hai casualties are almost all pikemen whose weapons have snapped, and my orcs tend to have had their legs break accidentally. In addition, several other kits come with casualties. Hunter orcs on wargs has two dead orcs, ent comes with a couple of dead orcs, rivendell knights also have dead guys on the sprue.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone! I have not tried sculpting so I will definite have to give that a go and see what I can come up with. I never thought to you models that have broken weapons, etc.

Has anyone ever tried to put plastic models in boiling hot water for a while and then push them flat?
I imagine it would work for finecast (though I can never imagine wanting to ruin such an expensive model for this purpose) but plastic might be too hard.
It'd make casualties a lot easier to make if it worked though.

I was actually thinking about giving that a try! I was looking on ebay for big orders of plastic mini's for relatively cheap. If I get some I will give it a try and let you know if it works.

Cool, I'll be interested to see how it works!
