Hi,
@Matt: I'm very glad you discovered my thread-I like your miniatures very much, it's great to hear that you appreciate mine too
I started a new major project, after my uruks are almost complete! This mini is a hint towards the subject of this new project!
I was able to get myself this Golfimbul thanks to the kindest spectre I ever met in the marshes and decided, that he needed a different mount as this kinda static plastic warg that comes in the blister. After browsing the web, I found pictures of someone who used the grim warg as mount for this orc captain. However this person, didn't do any adjustments to the mini to fit it together in a more realistic way! There were large gaps between the legs of the orc and the sides of the warg, also I found that Golfimbul needed a sattle rather than sitting on the wargs mane. I cut out a triangular piece of the back with a metal saw (around 0.5 cm*1cm) an dann added a bit of fur, a kind of blanket underneath the saddle, the saddle itself and the belts. I also modified Golfimbuls legs, by bending them a little bit with tweezers and adding a little bit of volume with procreate! I also repositioned the head, so that the warg and the rider look in the same direction (more or less). This conversion was also the first time I tried Procreate, which really is an excellent putty, with characteristics that I prefer to GS. But for some jobs GS is still the better thing so I used both
After lots of blabla, here are the pictures:
The painted version will follow soon, but first I got to work a little on my march entry for the painting contest!
