I've just got my new Erebor warriors and managed to lay my hands onto Thorins Company and decided to build a new army list with them, but I've had no chance to test or critique it.
It is supposed to be a little themed, set before the fall of Erebor.

500pts:
Thorin, Prince Under the Mountain
Shield (Oakenshield Upgrade)
6 Erebor Warriors with shield
6 Erebor Warriors with spears and shields

Dwalin, Captain of the Vanguard
6 Grim Hammers
6 Erebor Warriors with spears and shields

494pts

750:
Thorin, Prince Under the Mountain
Shield (Oakenshield Upgrade)
6 Erebor Warriors with shield
6 Erebor Warriors with spears and shields

Dwalin, Captain of the Vanguard
6 Grim Hammers
6 Erebor Warriors with spears and shields

Dain Ironfoot, King of the Iron Hills
6 Khazad Guard
6 Dwarf Warriors with Dwarf bow
739

1000:
Thorin, Prince Under the Mountain
Shield (Oakenshield Upgrade)
6 Erebor Warriors with shield
6 Erebor Warriors with spears and shields

Dwalin, Captain of the Vanguard
6 Grim Hammers
6 Erebor Warriors with spears and shields

Dain Ironfoot, King of the Iron Hills
6 Khazad Guard
6 Dwarf Warriors with Dwarf bow

Captain of the Rivendell Knights
Shield
6 Knights of Rivendell with shields

I think I have a decent theme going (I hope), but I am not sure how well the list(s) will perform, any thoughts or ideas to help a poor soul out?

I can't help you with the lists, but I can tell you you should get rid of that Oakenshield upgrade, since it's set before the fall of Erebor! :-D

Anyhow I think maybe you could add some ranged units to the first list.

Contrary to everything Sanguinis said, I'd keep the Oakenshield, it can simply represent his parrying skills for now as opposed to the item itself. The first list would probably function without missile weaponry to be honest.

However you may want to try and weave Balin (young version) in somehow. For his points he is pretty useful. Also, just by the looks of the movie, young Dain is going to be presented as more of a dwarf beserker, meaning perhaps you should use him as a kings champion instead?

The first list is good, but it's only 440 points, so you can take balin and a few guards with it.

Yeah I was thinking of replacing Dain with a Kings Champ, and it gives me the banners I so want (Also, Yay for Billy Connely as Dain :D ). But Bolg, I think your maths might be a little off, I'm sure the total list is 494.

But the shield, I sort of took Mars's idea to represent his skill in combat, or just the fact that he is a warrior and warriors take shields into battle, but thanks guys, anything more will be appreciated, I'm still learning to play really.
