DMS, you could almost win with just that teaser pic! But seriously, that looks awesome. It will definitely give the other two superb entries a run for their money.

Ok so my entry is almost done, I'm just waiting for some flock arriving from the States and I'll upload my proof pic and my complete pic. I said I would upload a teaser pic and give you a clue as to what i'm painting. Lol you should be able to tell from the pic. Just a WIP still some bits and bobs to finish.

Great work Matt and Grungehog - two awesome entries already.

Whaaaat???? You said it was an unrelesed model... That's just a blue-painted Balrog!!!

Maybe it's the all metal (including the wings) balrog?

lol and you can tell that from looking at its head? It is the same pose as a regular balrog but utilises parts from an unreleased ice balrog conversion kit.

its a Helegrog

It is a Hedgehog of Morgoth. The Dwarfs awoke it when digging at the bottom of the garden.

Does this mean that all entries so far (including teaser pic) are non-GW sculpt?

Here's my entry:

Image

I would have liked to have spent more time on this and more importantly have a completely assembled miniature. Unfortunately other events have moved quicker than expected. Most of my possessions, including the missing piece  , are now boxed up ready to be sent the other side of the Atlantic. I'm still waiting on my visa but are hoping to move over in the summer. I've had a lot of fun painting him and have learnt plenty. Just hope I can remember it all for when I get to paint the other two.

Couldn't you have just smashed your neighbor's windows and crushed that up? lol

We don't have glass in the windows here in Minas Morgul and I'm too busy to go to Minas Tirith.

@DMS What about your wife's fine crystal glasses?

They look great so far. The Coloring on the Balrog is nice and I like the basing on the Troll.
