Elendil and Eorl? Isildur and Balin? Really??

In addition to being grossly anachronistic, none of these lists are legal as the Elven contingent in each has too many bows.

I know its not themed or in timeframe but the facts are that it doesnt matter. Goblins dont fight alongside Orcs now do they. Also im shore Shelop wouldnt come out of her cave to ally with anyone but what the hey. Its just a game! Oh i didnt mean to offend tolkeins no. 1 fan or anything.

Actually, goblins are orcs, so yes they do fight along side each other. I'm sure that Sauron could find some way of getting Shelob to do his bidding, especially if the battle took place before she left Mirkwood.

Yeah well maybe there was a time portal that apeared and united the allies together. Its for the purpose of sbg which states that all good forces can ally. The point im making in the first place. Maybe Sauron can date the witch king and have a booty call too if he thought it felt right. The possibilities!

I'd pick the last one, but drop all but 2 banners, pad out the war bands, and give Isildur and Gil-galad a horse. I think Gil-galad can take a shield too, definitely worth it since he has less Fate.

I think you have to make use of 'unthematic' allies if you want to make an interesting Numenor list. Before the Rivendell Knights were released there was no cavalry option that fitted nicely with a 'Last Alliance' style army.... and was Isildur really the only Numenorean able to ride a horse?

If you want Numenorean cavalry then 'counts as' is your only option. Of course it would look much better if the SoE were SKoDA converted to look like Numenoreans.

The same holds true for Dwarfs. We have no profiles for any 2nd age Dwarf Heroes, so you may as well pick your favourite 3rd age Dwarf and use his profile for a 2nd age ancestor. I think most Dwarfs would be fine with that, they do like having mighty ancestors.
