In response to your last 2 questions, if you have 2 Hasharins/Dalamyr, you will find that you have too little might. Ofcourse a taskmaster can help this but even so, fiting in Dalamyr, the GK, and a Nazgul will be enough of a draon in terms of big heroes. Once you have those 3 (Dalamyr is optional imo) you just want to take a single taskmaster and then get as many troops as you can. In terms of Half trolls, i'd recommend either placing them in a full sized warband alongside a heavy mounted hero like Suladan/Mahud king to make an uber warband, or spreading them out so each warband is roughly as good as the next.

Are Half trolls worth it? They are Über expensive! How Many would you take in a 750 point game?and how would you support them?

Yes I've found them to be very worth it, as long as you have heroes around if your army breaks. Basically they'll chew through anything. You might have to forsake archers for them in a small battle but if protected from archer fire your enemies will have a tough time taking them down.
Just keep them away from mega heroes like aragorn and use them to clean up whatever troops are around the hero. the 2 wounds makes all the difference.

Ok here is a harad run down from my experiences of playing harad for a while. I lost 1 game in 6 tournament games (both GT and LOTR grandchampionships).

It depends how you want to play

AVOID
Hasharin and mahud.

Auto include
Abrakhan guard (I always field 6-12)
Golden king (bye bye saruman/aragorn)
Task master (now might is so important this guy is a must)

Good choices
Serpent riders (as many as you like)
Half Trolls (only 3 or so)
Watchers of karna
50% bow with watchers of karna with bow or warriors of karna with bow
Sulladan
Mounted chieftans with lance
Knight of umbar with fellbeast
Revers

Depending on your style
Raiders with lance and bow
Banners
Corsairs (rarely worth it now but arbelastors are great and reavers are great)

Why did you pick out Serpent Riders as your cavalry of choice? The stats they have don't appear that great if I'm honest x

I expect their higher Fight is useful...

When the average fight value of middle earth is something like 3.5 you need to be able to beat or equal most opponents.
At F4 you will get a 50/50 roll vs uraks and elite good where as F3 you are dead (especialy vs uraks with S4)

Poison lances are moderately useful and sometimes a bit of luck can win games.

Wouldn't you say that the Mahud Riders are better though? 1higher strength plus 1 higher Defence plus the inpaler rule is pretty good to be honest. IMHO on Paper at least, Mahud Riders look better then Serpent Riders.

Hmmmm,
17pts a pop+ 1pt for warspear
F3 so you aren't winning fights as confidently.
C2 so you aren't charging anything scary.
18pts so you are not gonna get much for your buck.

Compared to 13pts for a serpent rider.
F4, so winning fights more often
C3, so more likely to get the charge on the scaries
13pts so I can field more.

Why avoid the Hasharin? They look pretty impressive, descent special rules, decent amount of attacks, look good, why avoid?

I personally don't know if I'd say "avoid Hasharin". It's good, but depending on how you use your Heroes I think that there are usually better options for the points.

The Hasharin is a great fighter, with reasonable Strength, three Attacks and the Bane of Kings special rule. Likewise Stalk Unseen, 3 Fate and 2 Wounds should keep him around a long time even with the slightly lower Defense. But his points are a lot to swallow. Suladan on foot costs the same and has a tougher overall stat line and 3/3/1. A Haradrim King costs 30 points less (meaning about 7 more troops on the table) and has a higher Defense and more traditional "leader" M/W/F values (2/2/1 vs. the Hasharin's 1/1/3). The single point of Might and the high point cost (which must always be translated as less models on the table) usually mean he doesn't hold value in lists below 600pts IMO as a secondary Hero, and Suladan's better MWF and Ascendant special rule means the Hasharin's not usually the best overall army leader choice.

Might is worth so much more now with monsters being more powerful and epic strike being so easy to do.
A goblin captain can beat your hasharin without trying.

Well if you're playing Harad/ Umbar in order
Hero: taskmaster ( golden king rule is kinda cute but I prefer to have might )
Warriors: reavers/ Half trolls. Everything else is simply not as good.

For 750 i would do

Suladan (leader).........................90
12 watchers of karna...................108

The Betrayer..............................120
12 warriors of karna with bows.......108

Dalamyr.....................................100
12 merchant guard........................96

Captain with spear........................50
11 warriors with spears..................77

I usually find myself fighting Dol Amroth or elves :legolas: so the watchers F4 and A2 come in handy to win the fights and the guard finish them of. The archers poisoned attacks are good especially with the betrayer. I stick them in a building and fire away (on 3's!). Dalamyr skulks around and jumps any unwary units and the spear men support where needed. Bit of a low defense army but pretty good otherwise.

Except you shoud share the spears amongst the fighting men otherwise a simple shield wall will batter you.

A wraith standing around is a waste of points when he could be casting imo

The karna upgrade is rather useless, as is the betrayer. Replace the warriors with watchers with bows and the betrayer with either the knight of umbar or the golden king.

Except he saves pts.
If you don't have points for watchers with bow then warriors with bow do almost the same job.

The archers are normally close to my line so the betrayer can affect them and still useful. the archers have the karna upgrade so they hit on 3's makes them the same points as watchers but poisoned arrows makes up for it

The betrayer isn't really worth it for just a couple extra rerolls. It'd be better to use the golden king instead, which would give you enough points to upgrade 5 of the warriors to watchers with bows. Then you can remove the upgrade from a few others to let you upgrade some more to watchers with bows. As you said, they'll be close to your line, so they'll most likely be fighting a turn or so after your front line, so i would be better for them to be watchers than warriors. The golden king is also a banner, which will help more than the betrayer's mediocre magic and ability will.

And if you stand the Golden king sideways he can affect LOADS of fights.
