I'm slowly building up my Harad and Umbar army, anyone know what would make up a decent 750 point army? I'm thinking of either buying 12 Abrakhan Guards or 12 Mahud Warriors to go with my Haradrim ect...! What would you suggest? What would make up a decent army?

Golden King, Corsairs, and Abrakan guard are probably the best things going for Harad. Dalamyr or a Hasharin are nice, but only ever take 1.

Definitely get half trolls and support them. Some might argue they're not worth it anymore because they can't get 3 of their own attacks with spear support but with their stats the way they are they're still ridiculously good.
I would also take arbalasters considering the new penalties on moving and shooting. Abrakhan guard are also useful.

Yeah I have a full Warband of Arbalasters. I tend to take a Warband of Easterlings with pikes as allies as well. I'm thinking of buying some Camel's, what do people think to them? I know they are not as good as they used to be, but they still look pretty good with the inpaler rule plus great if you give them a war spear?

Yeah I play a Hasharin, because they are great. Is the King really that good? He seems really expensive for what you get.

Well, his banner effect+ability to lower a good heroes courage roll is what makes him so great. Ofcourse if you happen to be fighting enemy soldiers who are fight 3 then he is a killing machine, but four will is easily enough to make nearly anyone muck up on courage (something good heroes rarely do).

What's not to like about Abrakhan Guards, they relatively low pts, good strength, +1 bonus, no penalty, can be supported by spears, and unlike Mahud / Half Trolls / Revears, they don't stop you having 50% bows. (I'm not actually saying theya re better than half Trolls/reveavers btw)

You can have 50% of your army Abrakhan, and 50% Haradrim w/ spears % bows if you want.

As the others have said, the Golden King should be a given, and the Reavers and Halfies are still brillinat.

Do you have a nazgul yet? They are easy to paint and look good with an evil army =)

Yeah I got Nazgul, plus 2 Wraiths on Fell Beasts. Are the Watchers of Karna good? Plus would it be worth buying some Camels?

4 strength with +1 to win, WITH 4 attacks AND a reroll to win makes him an infantry shredder. His 6 Will means he can automatically make most any hero flee once they're army is broken, so long as the roll is low enough. I've made Dain AND Bolg flee with the Golden King (different battles of course). Having a Nazgul nearby REALLY helps with this.

Wouldn't that be expensive to have the King and a Nazgul at 750 points?

Not really.
Golden King
12 Guards
Nazgul on Armored horse
12 Raiders with war spears
Chieftain with bow
12 warriors with bow
Chief with bow
11 warriors with bow
751pts
Almost 4 full warbands, so 51 models, 9 might, with a good caster who is also a potential combat beast and a banner held by a combat beast. You also have heavy hitting infantry, a bunch of bows and some light cavarly.

Like the look of that army list! Everyone likes the Abrakhan Guards. Looks like i may have to get some. Doesn't the low Defence they have really hinder them?

Sometimes, but they have 4 fight, so unless they're fighting elves, they have a good chance of winning, then with they're 4 strength and +1 to wound, they'll be killing most everytime they win. Just make sure to keep the King nearby for rerolls.

What do you think to the Mahud Riders with war spears?

I think the Mahud in general are overpriced, but the camel's seem pretty decent. Str 4 autohit and +1 to wound with 4str would be pretty devastating, but at 18 pts, they seem a bit too easily killed to worth those pts. If they were a pt or 2 cheaper or maybe if the camel had extra defense they would be good.

Are the Mahud Warriors in general ok to use? I'm trying to collect a varied army that is good in battle but also interesting to paint. Would you also recommend getting some watchers of Karna?
