4 Warriors of Minas Tirith (spear, shield)

Warband 3:
Cirion, Liutenant of Amon Barad
4 Rangers of Gondor
4 Warriors of Minas Tirith (shield)
4 Warriors of Minas Tirith (spear, shield)

400 pts

I'm thinking of spending the last 100 pts on an uber hero. Not sure who. No need to be thematic. Please Help.

Which über-heroes for less than 100 points are you considering?

I wouldn't excactly call Faramir an über-hero (he's not that much more powerful than a Captain), but he's good nevertheless. Faramir with heavy armour, lance, shield and armoured horse wouldn't be too bad for this force, I guess.

What about Denethor with 8 ctadel guard + 6 spears?
Not exactly an uber hero but 48 units in a 500 point Gondor army is pretty good going.
Nice and thematic too...

But that's 126 points, and he already has 400.
EDIT: I assume you meant 6 Citadel Guards, since each warband can only have 12 models.

I meant denethor + 6 Citadel guard with spears + 2 citadel guard without spears = 100pts

Ah, I understand now. I'm sorry. I thought you meant 48 Warriors and thus a full warband of Citadel Guards and models with spears.

in 500pts? Nope. Unless you are doing a siege, siege engines are never worth it. Far too easy to close them down and get within minimum range.
